"New arrival! New arrival!" Mrs. Plum shouts as everyone hears a bell and gathers for the new arrival.
"Mayhew? Mayhew! How nice to see... I'm so sorry." Victor says as he goes over to the new arrival to see the person is dead.
"Oh yeah. Actually though I feel great." Mayhew says happily.
"Hurry up boys. Can you not see the gentleman is parched?" Paul asks as some cockroaches give Mayhew a drink.
"Mayhew I have to get back. They all must be worried sick. How is everyone?" Victor asks as Alexis and Emily watch him talk to the man.
"Victor? Where are you going?" Emily asks as Victor begins to leave before Alexis looks at her.
*Timeskip*
"Oh Mrs. Plum, Alexis what am I to do? He just walked off without saying a word. Are all men like this?" Emily asks sadly as she is with Alexis and Mrs. Plum.
"Well I'm afraid none of them are very bright. They get something stuck in their heads... and you can't do a thing with them." Mrs. Plum says while cleaning a knife.
"Emily are you certain Victor will make you happy? Surely there must be someone else? Perhaps someone who is already dead?" Alexis asks as she looks at Emily.
"Yes Alexis. I'm married to Victor. I'm determined to make it work." Emily says as Alexis sighs.
"Alright then. I'll do whatever I can to support you. You're my best friend. I'd do anything to see you happy." Alexis says as she smiles at Emily.
"Thank you Alexis. I don't know what I'd do without you." Emily says as she smiles before Elder Gutnecht comes over.
"My dear we have to talk." Elder Gutnecht says while holding a book.
"Let me tell her please. Let me tell her." Maggot says happily as he is on the book.
"What?" Emily asks.
"What is it Elder Gutnecht?" Alexis asks.
"There is a complication with your marriage." Elder Gutnecht says.
"I don't understand." Emily says confusedly.
"The vows are binding only until death do you part." Elder Gutnecht says.
"What are you saying?" Emily asks.
"Death has already parted you." Elder Gutnecht says.
"If he finds out he'll leave. There must be something you can do." Emily says worriedly.
"Well there is one way." Elder Gutnecht says.
"Oh please, please! Let me tell her." Maggot says happily.
"It requires the greatest sacrifice." Elder Gutnecht says.
"Go on. Get to the good part." Maggot says happily.
"What is it?" Alexis asks.
"We have to kill him!" Maggot shouts.
"What?" Emily and Alexis ask in union before looking at each other.
"Victor would have to give up the life he had forever. He would need to repeat his vows in the land of the living... and drink from the wine of ages." Elder Gutnecht says.
"Poison!" Emily says in shock.
"This would stop his heart forever. Only then would he be free to give it to you." Elder Gutnecht says.
"I could never ask him." Emily says sadly as she drops to her knees as Alexis consoles her.
"You don't have to. I'll do it." A voice says revealing to be Victor as he comes into the room.
"My boy if you choose this path... you may never return to the world above. Do you understand?" Elder Gutnecht asks.
"I do." Victor says as he helps Emily to her feet and smiles at her.
*Timeskip*
"Gather round. Gather round everybody. We've decided to do this thing properly. So grab what you can and follow us. We're moving this wedding party upstairs." Victor says as he and Emily are with everyone gathered by a fountain before everyone splits up to go grab what they need.
"Emily wait. You'll need this." Alexis says as she goes over to Emily and hands her a flower boutique.
"My flower boutique. You found it." Emily says happily.
"Of course. You can't get married without one. I also have this for you." Alexis says as she presents Emily a silver necklace with a small white diamond teardrop.
"Your mother's necklace? But you never let that out of your sight." Emily says in surprise.
"I know I want you to have it. I was gonna give it to you later but I think you need it now more." Alexis says as she smiles.
"Thank you Alexis." Emily says happily.
"There. Now you're ready." Alexis says as she places the necklace around Emily's neck.
"You really are amazing. Thank you." Emily says as she smiles.
"You're welcome. Now go to your husband to be. I'll see you up above when it's time." Alexis says as she watches Emily leave sadly.
