Why?
I thought of this word one too many times.
Why did she leave without saying goodbye? How did I not realize what she meant when she asked me that question; the question of how to place your conscience into an object.
I'd known of what Ei was going through, losing her beloved sister and the Electro Archon could not be an easy loss.
When Lady Saiguu left, I was tasked with taking the role of "Miko", and putting a smile on Her Excellency's face. It worked for as long as I could recall, but when Makato died.. nothing would work.
Why? Why my dear Ei, would you leave your Inazuma and me alone?
I felt my cold tears falling down my face.
I've only cried twice in my life: first when Lady Saiguu left, but you'll never hear me say that, and the second time being now; as the sudden realization hits me that Ei won't be coming back.. but even so, time will be on our side, right?
Knock
"Lady Guuji? It's almost time to preform the ceremony, you almost ready?"
I stiffen, "Okay dear, give me a second more, yes?"
"Of course"
I hear the door gently close, and as I look upon Her Excellency's beautiful Inazuma and wipe my tears I think to myself for the last time;
Yes, I'm disappointed and mad to say the least at you Ei. But when the first pale purple buds emerge when the snow melts, will I have the pleasure to watch them with you? Because my dear Ei, I will wait for you, no matter how long it takes..
