Avery's heart felt as though us was in her stomach. Her little feet quickly moved through the airport security and were now racing to her gate. She always was late for things at the worst times, and she really wanted an overpriced airport snack.
The sound of the souls of her shoes abruptly came to stop when she practically slammed her body into the desk. she was the only person in the waiting area and the flight attendant was just about to close the door, "Wait, no! Please, please let me on." Avery begged, her finger held the rim of the counter, gripping so harshly the tips were turning white.
The flight attendant eyes rolled back into her head. She took her hand and brushed the last bits of hair behind her ear as if she was debating whether or not she should let her on, "Hurry, hurry." She finally spoke, her faint accent slipping through.
The attendant pushed open the big door, her tiny body quickly moved down the terminal, her heels clicking on the metal floor. Avery was right behind her, trying to keep up with how eerily fast she was moving.
Finally reaching the end, the pilots were no longer standing at the front and everyone was already in their seats and buckled. Avery's faced blushed with embarrassment, she easily got embarrassed. She moved her self through the sea of legs, arms shrugs and bags sticking out in the isle.
Some people complained about being in the back or near the toilets but Avery liked it back there. It seemed more comfortable and relaxing, it was a feeling she couldn't describe, but it was a need for her flights. Maybe the she just really enjoyed the smell of piss.
D7 was her seat. Seven was Avery's lucky number. Maybe its generic or basic, whatever, the number seemed important to her. Mainly because seven ate nine. That was her favorite joke when she was little, over ten years ago.
Now she's 18. Legal age. She can buy a house, adopt a kid, legally smoke cigarettes, buy porn. Lots of porn. it's just another one of those feelings that she can't just describe. It's just the fact that nothing felt right and that now she's on her senior trip to Italy for god knows what or why. Which scares her, how can she be 18 and not have a plan, not for her trip, but also for the rest of her life.
