Alright, this chapter is pretty cute and also a little bit stressful to write cause It's been a while since I posted the first chapter so I forgot Sylvie and Charlie's name 💀... Anywho enjoy this chapter, and also please tell me where you think this storyline could improve!

Jenna and I run home in a hurry, not wanting to miss dinner and also trying to avoid the "death stare" my mom would give us, although mom thinks her death stares are very intimidating, the result of the stare is a weird look that portrayed more of a goofier look then mad

We arrive home a few minutes late absolutely out of breath, panting and unintentionally banging on the door for Mom to let us in, she opens it very quickly with a concerned look on her face, "Heavens me, what is wrong with you girls?" She says puzzled by me and Jenna currently hunched over trying to catch our breaths.

Me and Jenna for the time being ignore my mother as we walk through the door and plop down on our sectional with a humph.

"Sorry, Mom we just ran from the bookstore,"  I say with my breath under control but I was sure my face was flustered.

"Well then don't just sit around come help set the table" my mother insisted with a slight smile on her face.

As I get up to help set the table I'm surprised to see Jenna get up as well. usually, she turns on the tv and takes a quick cat nap before I shake her awake when dinner is ready. It was a routine I'd grown to love, but I guess she wanted to help, which I was not going to complain about.

Me and Jenna start setting the table when we hear a knock on the door so faint we barely heard it. I walk over to the door and open it surprised to see a sweaty breath Henry hunched over (just like I and Jenna had been no more than 5 minutes ago) he notices me and tries his best to stand up straight, before he puts his hand up and mumbles something like "gimme a second" It was quite comical I couldn't help but chuckle at his poor attempt at hiding his exhaustion. He catches his breath just in time to see me smiling and smiles back.

"Anna, who is it?" My mother requested.

I look at Henry to see if he wants me to step outside or tell them he's here. Before he can react my mother and Jenna are already at the door, I look at Henry and give him a look that says "What do you want me to do" he opens his mouth to say something but my mother beats him to it "introduce us to your handsome friend Anna" My mother smiles at me as she emphasizes handsome.

I roll my eyes playfully before turning to catch a glimpse of Henry's amused smile, he's blushing but that might be the fact that he just ran from the bookstore to my house in under 5 minutes.

"Henry this is my mother, Sylvia but you can call her Sylvie. And mom this is Henry" I smiled at him noticing the way he held eye contact, not once looking away or squirming under my eyes.

"It's nice to meet you Mrs. Tuffin" Henry stated, clearly trying to sweet talk my mother by not calling her either of the names I introduced him to, he was successful in his charm as I could already see my mother marking him down as the potential love of my life.

"Ooohhh a gentleman I see" my mother smirked.

Henry chuckled before replying "I try my best" with a smile on his lips.

There's a moment of awkwardness and you can tell none of us know what to say or do next that is until Jenna saves my life by asking "Well Mrs. Tuffin, why don't we go and get dinner ready, what do you think?"

My mom catches onto what Jenna is hinting at and so she follows Jenna into the kitchen leaving me and Henry alone.

After a few moments, Henry quickly says "Oh I forgot" he fumbles with his pocket for a second before pulling out a necklace with an infinity symbol on it that my mom gave me for my 13th birthday, I never take it off so the clasp but have come undone when I hit the floor like a ton of bricks at the bookstore.
