At the start he's 17
He's a close friend to Ezio Auditore da Firenze. He too was the son of an Assassin. Aldo Ricci was a professional Assassin, there wasn't any job he couldn't get done. He eventually met his wife Jasmine, who was a Persian princess, but her brother overthrew their father to take over, and killed him in the process. Jasmine filled with so much grief for her father, she killed her own brother by her father's Saber.

A sword that she carries with her to this day, and soon will pass it down to her son Dastan.

This armor has served Aldo well over the years, and has even gotten some modifications, and alterations by Jasmine. Soon he'll pass it down to Dastan, and he'll carry on his legacy.
Dastan is a charming, intelligent, and a level headed individual. He checks to see how deep the water is before he leaps. But at times he's impulsive, and hot-headed which makes him unpredictable, and it makes him dangerous. But when it comes down to it there is no one else Ezio would trust more than him, and to count on when things get hairy.
Dastan has also developed a crush on Claudia Auditore. He adored that firey passion she had, and would spend every chance he could with her, even as her friend. When he found out she was promised to Duccio de Luca, he felt a pang of sadness. Giovanni even told him that one day she'll see him asthe man she needs, not want. Maria too can see him as a son, and would be glad to have him marry Claudia one day. I guess only time will tell.
