Y/N was no ordinary faunus as he was born with both traits. He was enslaved by the white fang and now finds a new family after escaping the white fang
(Takes place during volume 2)
Y/N's POV: It was the 2 days before Christmas and everybody was setting up but I look confused since I wasn't familiar with the holiday.
Y/N: What's everyone setting up for?
I ask which everyone was a little shocked that I didn't know what today was.
Yang: You never heard of Christmas?
She asked as I shake my head.
Blake: I mean he was enslaved for who knows how long so he might not even know what a holiday is.
Weiss: That's honestly pretty sad he never got to celebrate a holiday.
Ruby: Alright team operation first Christmas is a go. We will each take turns teaching Y/N about Christmas. I'll go first and show him a fun activity I like about Christmas.
Yang: You're just gonna make cookies aren't you.
Y/N: Cookies?
Ruby: Yeah! It's gonna be so fun!
She said gently dragging me to the counter as we started making cookies. She put me in charge of the cookie cutters and sprinkles while she did the rest with making the cookie dough and stuff. After she finished with the dough she had me put the cutters on the dough and cut out certain Christmas shapes but my personal favorite was the star. We put them in the oven and waited for a while before they were done. Afterwards she had me sprinkle them and Weiss walks in.
Weiss: I believe it's my turn to help Y/N learn the holiday.
She said as I gently grab her hand and walk with her. We headed to a mall and wondered why we were here.
Weiss: A Christmas tradition that people do is get gifts for one another. We already all got you gifts but I'm letting you use my card to get gifts if you want to that is.
Y/N: I won't let you down big sis.
I said as we went to several stores and started to slowly bond more and more over time. I eventually paid for the 4 gifts I got them and as we headed outside o saw Aunt Yang waiting for me.
Yang: Come on kid we don't wanna be late.
Weiss: Yang where are you taking him?
Yang: A Christmas party ice queen.
She said helping me onto her motorcycle. She put a helmet on me and drove off to some building where I heard music being played.
Y/N: Where are we?
Yang: A Christmas party and don't worry it's child friendly. Especially after what happened last time I went to a Christmas party but we don't speak of that.
She said and honestly I didn't want to know what she did as we walked inside seeing people mostly just hanging out listening to Christmas music. I kinda enjoyed it but mostly kept to myself because I didn't know anyone here.
Yang: You having fun Y/N?
She asked handing me a cookie.
Y/N: Alittle bit yeah.
I said as after another hour or so Blake came to pick me up.
Y/N: Mama!
I shout running to her and hugging her.
Blake: Did you have fun so far?
Y/N: Yeah you bet I did!
I said excitedly as she takes me home and ticks me into bed since it was night time now.
Blake: Alright I'll be telling you about the first Christmas in Menagerie. It all started a few hundred years ago back when faunus's were treated worse than when they are now. There was a deer faunus named Nicholas who never let his spirits dwindle down. He started giving his rations of food to other faunus in need in hopes of getting others into the spirit of giving. Luckily it worked and then it became it's own holiday and that's how christmas started in Menagerie.
She told me as I look up at her enjoying the story.
Blake: Now get some sleep buddy.
Y/N: Ok mama.
I said as I feel asleep and couldn't wait for Christmas to come.
(Christmas Day) I got woken up by mommy excitedly as she dragged me over ready to open gifts and I was excited to see what I got. I first opened Yangs gift seeing a custom made motorcycle helmet with little slots in the helmet for my ears along with a motorcycle outfit with a slot to fit my tail into. Next was Weiss who got me a Schnee branded winter jacket that was white and fluffy. Mama then handed me her gift which was a book about five faunus in colored outfits that fight monsters from space. Lastly Monmy got me an actual weapon which caused the other 3 to glare at her abit but I thought it was cool.
