Jeyne Arryn was always spotted at the Sept whether it was praying or talking to her Septon, you would find her there. She devoted most of her time to helping treat those who were sick. It was a gesture of selflessness as everyone saw. But for Jeyne is was indeed selfish. For she had hoped that helping others would lift the burden of guilt from her.

This is what she was praying for right now. Reconciliation. Hoping that the gods would grant her this.

"My Lady," Septon Gregor interrupted her prayer, "your father has requested your presence in his study."

Jeyne nodded, "As I have told you once before, call me Jeyne but thank you."

Standing up she smoothed out her dress and made her way up the high towers. She was greeted by various guests and servants as she made her way to her father's study. The knight bowed to her before announcing her presence to their Lord.

"Lady Jeyne, My Lord."

"Come in."

She walked in to see her father looking at a letter. He stood up at her pretense.

"You requested me father?"

He nodded before making his away around the desk, "Yes I did. We have been summoned to Kings Landing to celebrate the birth of your dear cousin, Princess Rhaenerya's, babe."

Jeyne raised her eyes at his statement, "The babe was born already? We must leave right away. I shall say goodbye to Septon Gregor then we shall take our leave." She was out the door before he could say another word.

He laughed at his daughter eagerness before looking back at the letter the King himself wrote. Feeling remorseful for the half truth he told her.

The ride to Kings Landing was exhausting, but Jeyne found the energy to jump out of the carriage and raced to find her cousin. Ignoring her fathers words and lords greetings she found herself in front of the Queen's chamber where she was told the Princess was.

Now hesitate she looked to the guard before he opened the door allowing her in. She found not only her cousin with her babe, but her lord husband, the Queen, and the King.

Rhaenyra's exhausted face instantly brightened at the sight of her dear cousin "Jeyne! You came all this way?"

"Of course. I wouldn't miss this for the world," she replied while  bowing her head to the king and queen before making her way over to see the child. Looking down at the swaddled bundle of joy in the king's arms made her hear melt. "Absolutely adorable Rhae. Do you have a name yet?"

"Jeoffrey," Leanor exclaimed proudly, "His name his Jeoffrey."

"May I," She asked eager to hold him. The king handed Jeoffrey to her. "Hello there little one. Little Jeoffrey."

The King watched her chat with Rhaenyra while holding Jeoffrey with a melancholy smile. He has nearly forgotten how bright his daughter's smile could be or how enchanting her laughter was since the death of her mother. It would would only be right for her cousin on her mother's side to bring that smile back. The sight in front of him only solidifying his decision.
