Rescuing a kitten from under a dumpster
Not ideal
There's heaps of garbage pouring out on all sides of the overfilled trash bin.
And all the different aromas smushing together to create one big fermented mess.
Crouching down, leaning closer towards the dark crack that serves as underside of the trash bin.
There are glowing yellow eyes
Telling that there is a kitten hidden underneath
Reaching a hand into the dirty underside
Searching through darkness
Feeling around for a mound of fluff
Flinching once hitting something soft
Closing my grip around the kitten
Pulling it closer from the darkness
Fingers puncture through the flesh
Fingers slipping through red mushy warmth
Hands closing around it
Crunching small tooth pick like bones to shards
Blood and hair mix together
Slowly pulling hands, from beneath the bin
Returning from filth
Hands covered in kitten hair and blood
