The Hero and The Villain

Chapter 1: Hero Meets Demon Lord

Leon can't believe what he is seeing right now, why is the demon Lord show himself to him. His body started to tremble and he raise the sword shakily.

"Wh-wha-what are you doing here, you..." Leon stuttered. Vanis sighed and looked at Leon disappointingly. He's so young to even challenge him. How can the hero make a change if he is this young?

"I didn't know the Hero is this young," he said. Leon, even though he is smitten, he can't believe that he's going to face the Demon lord thia early.

"Wh-why are you here?" Leon asked. Vanis looked at him and massaged his temples and looked at the Leon.

"You, what is your name?" Vanis asked. Leon blinked then blushed. He looked down and scratch his cheeks before shyly looked at Vanis.

"My name is... Leon." Vanis crossed his arm and looked at the child who is madly blushing. He doesn't know why Leon is blushing but the fact that he's a child, he can't do anything for now.

"I see. Well, you're too young than I expected. You're only... How old are you?" Leon looked at Vanis and pouted.

"That is rude! I am not young, I am already 10 years old!" Vanis looked at him before smirking.

"You're too young for me. Like a little hatchling of a demon spawn. Anyways, you, Leon right? When you've come of age, come to me and we're going to talk!" Leon blinked a few times and looked at him confused.

"Talk? About what?" Vanis walked towards Leon and brushed his thumb under Leon's lips. Leon blushed a different share of red and make a few steps back. His heart feels like it's going to explode! He put his hand over his mouth and feels dizzy all of a sudden.

"Wh-what are you d-d-d-doing?!" Leon asked a little disortiented. Vanis smirked and shook his head. This hero is quite interesting. He taken a liking to this Hero and he hope in the future when they meet again, he will not become a frivolous, muscle-head Hero and easy to communicate with.

"I've taken a liking to you. When you've come of age, come to me and let's talk," Vanis said with a small smile on his face. Leon didn't know what he mean but he said he liked him. With just the word 'like' he engrave it to his heart. The Demon Lord like him! Him who was destined to defeat Demon Lord!

"Wha-" Before Leon said anything else, Vanis cut him first.

"Well then, see you again years later from now," Vanis said and turned and used his powers to fly.

"Wait!" Vanis looked back to Leon who was looking at him with sadness. Vanis smirked and waved to him.

"Good bye and see you soon," he said and Vanis disappeared from Leon's sight and went back to his castle. Leon felt that everything is so fast! The Demon Lord came to him and civily talked with him. But the priest said that if he saw the Demon Lord, he will kill him in an instant if he didn't attack him. But instead of killing him, the Demon Lord talked to him and very civil! What the priest said about the Demon Lord is wrong!

"He's... Kind?" And then Leon unconsciously brushed his finger to his lower lips where the fingers of that person still lingers. He blushed deep. He squatted down and rubbed his face to remove the heat from his face. When he remembered those dazziling ruby eyes and silky black hair, ah! His heart is skipping a beat! He doesn't looke a Demon Lord but an angel himself! He put his hand on his heart and he felt that it's beating so fast. No one made his heart like this other than that Demon Lord. What is wrong with him? He sighed and buried his face to his hands. Why is this demon lord different from what he expected. He is now confused.

So instead of doing some training, he went back to his room in the church and lay down on the bed to sleep. But instead of sleeping, the scene kept on replaying on his head and that made him sleepless. When he went to the dining hall where he also eat with other church knights that entered the same age as him, they notice the eyebags under Leon's eyes.

"What happend to you, Leon?" Ask Gerald who was a friend of Leon. One of the potential candidates of Holy Knights who might come with Leon when they subjugated the Demon Lord. Leon looked at his friend and sighed.

"You won't guess what happened last night," Leon said and looked at the food in front of him. He then remembered the handsome face of the Demon Lord and he blushed again. Gerald looked at Leon weirdly until there is a thought came to him and he became so excited.

"Did you see a beautiful creature last night?" Gerald's eyes sparkled. Leon looked at him and then he smiled shyly before nodding.

"Yeah, very beautiful!" Gerald can't believe what he said. He was excited for a his friend. Well, he already noticed that Leon is not interested with other girls unlike like him, or maybe he really just don't like anyone but if he said that this girl whom he might met last night is very beautiful, then there is a chance!

"That's great! I am so happy for you!" Gerald said with a very big smile. Leon, looked at him with a smile on his face and then looked at his food. He happily eat the food that is in front of him and start the day with surging happiness. The Demon Lord said that they should meet when he's come of age, he anticipate that day when that time comes. After the whole day of training, behind the church was a hill where they can see the whole town and the sunset. Leon looked at the beautiful sight remembering the handsome Demon Lord he met.

"I will meet him again!" He whispered in the wind that will carry his words to every part of the world. Then, this is the first time that the Hero finally know what is his sexual orientation are.
