I hoped the surgery worked 'cos I don't want to be in this bed for good, I picked up my phone when it chimed and looked at the post Hawk posted and chuckled a little kind of missing karate now

And I set the phone back down onto the tray and sighed a little sad and laid back down looked at the ceiling

Nurse: Hey, what's wrong? Can I turn on the TV for you or get you another pillow?

Jack: What if my surgery didn't work? What if I can never walk again?

Nurse: Sweetie, you can't think like that... I know what'll make you feel better though. A big piece of chocolate cake. How's that sound, huh?

I forced a smile and nodded

Jack: Sure

Nurse: Be right back

She left and I just stared at the ceiling before sighing and decided to try and call Tory again even though she won't answer my calls or any of my texts

||| 3rd POV |||

Outside the room Johnny stood talking on the telephone at the reception's table

Johnny: I know. I'm sorry, Bobby. I screwed up. Just tell Robby I'll make things right. Ok, fine. I'll tell him myself. I gotta go, Bob. Bye.

He hung up just as the nurse walked out of Jack's room and walked over to her

Johnny: Hey, excuse me.

The nurse turned around

Johnny: How'd the surgery for Jackson Lawrence? Is he OK?

Nurse: He's awake. A little out of it, but healing.

Johnny: Good. So, he can walk again?

Nurse: It doesn't walk like that. Time will tell how successful the surgery was, but... I can take you in if you'd like to. I'm sure he'd love to see you.

Johnny looked at the room for a moment before turning back to the nurse

Johnny: No, he needs to rest.

He walked to the elevator and got in

Johnny picked up a tray and a plate and looked at Robby

Johnny: Hey, Robby.

Robby looked at him surprised to see him here

Robby: You're not supposed to be here.

Johnny: It's the only way I could see you. Found out you were doing community service to try and get out early. That's good. I respect that.

Robby looked down and Johnny looked at his black eye

Johnny: Is that a black eye? Are you fighting in there after everything that's happened?
