In this special novel, the author introduces the main character of Veronika, who is a 24 year old woman, who lives in the european country of Slovenia, after the recent separation and segregation of Yugoslavia in the 90's. So one day, she decides to die, the reason being that she is bored and is not happy with her own life; even though she has a good life and a good job. So when she's taken some pills and is about to reach her death, she starts to find new meaning in her life, But it may be too late. Her attempt is unsuccessful, and Veronika ends up in a short comma, after whcih she ies taken to a hospital, where she meets new and interesting people who will somehow change her life.

I think this novel is really good and nicely written. I think the plot and story are really good, and also very philosophical in many ways, since it turns to the questions of life and death, which I think are important to understand. I also think the book itself in very compelling and alluring, and also the characters involved, because of the themes they talk about. I would highlight the themes and the narration style. I definitely recommend it to all people and readers, since the author raises a lot of interesting themes and issues, that can turn very philosophical at times, and the novel is very nice to read.

Este es un resumen y reseña de la novela escrita por el autor brasileño Paulo Coelho, publicada en 1998. Es una novela filosófica que trata asuntos de vida o muerte, y otros temas recurrentes, por lo que es bastante interesante de leer.

En esta novela especial, el autor presenta al personaje principal de Veronika, quien es una mujer de 24 años, que vive en el país europeo de Eslovenia, luego de la reciente separación y segregación de Yugoslavia en los años 90. Entonces, un día, decide morir, la razón es que está aburrida y no es feliz con su propia vida; a pesar de que tiene una buena vida y un buen trabajo. Así que cuando se ha tomado unas pastillas y está a punto de llegar a la muerte, empieza a encontrar un nuevo sentido a su vida, pero puede que sea demasiado tarde.
