You jolted upwards quickly, feeling yourself drenched in sweat due to the dream you had.
another dream that felt extremely real, about your mother. you sighed before looking out the window, hours had passed seeing as it was midnight now.
you looked at the pendant on your neck glowing, reflecting a light blue shade onto your walls. remembering the words your mother told you before she died, but you still wish she was with you physically.
clenching onto the pendant thinking about what you could change about the night that changed your life.
it was useless though, it already happened and you couldnt change that, as much as you wanted too.
You got up from your bed and walked sheepishly to your door, planning to get a glass of water from the kitchen downstairs.
You squint your eyes as they agusted to the light from the hallways which was dimly lit with torches on every pillar. The court floor feeling cold against your bare feet, before it feeling quickly becomes manageable.
Walking down the halls with your hand gently hovering over the patterns on the walls. Making your way down the elegant staircase with only a handful of knights still roaming around.
Finally making it to the kitchen, you start pouring a glass of water into a glass. Drinking it fairly quickly before heading towards the door again.
As your hand barely touched the handle, you hear bickering in the dining room. Seeing as it was midnight, you were confused as to why people would be awake at such a time.
Deciding to have a slight peek at the room to see who it was, you quietly open the door just enough to see the people inside.
You see Dolin and King Greed.. talking? You were surprised considering they didn't seem to get along in the meetings. Focusing on what they're saying you hear them say,
"That's not gonna work. They're not stupid." said Greed.
"Then you think of something if it's so easy." Dolin almost shouted with attitude back to him.
"Keep it down, someone might hear you."
"No one's gonna be awake at this time, calm down." Dolin reassured him.
"Okay then, let's end it here. I'll think of a plan by morning and inform you when we meet again." King Greed tells Dolin before walking near the exit door.
Dolin just nods in agreements before following him.
You quietly close the door and think about what just happened. It was weird, and something was definitely going on. They seemingly having a plan of some sort and not wanting anyone to hear in on it too. They might just meet again to discuss more on it.
You quickly head back to your room after hearing both the men head to theirs.
Making it back to your room and getting into bed. You still have a meeting to attend later that day, but the conversation between Dolin and Greed seemed uneasy.
You finally doze off to sleep once again.

The unpleasant feeling of the sun hitting your eyes woke you up in a heartbeat.
"Rise and shine, princess." Rue basically shouted at you, attempting to wake you up, in which she succeeded.
Rubbing your eye to adjust to the bright light invading your bedroom.
"Morning Rue." You say in a annoyed tone sitting up from your bed.
"Do you always have to wake up me like that?" You question her as she continues to open the windows in your room.
