"You never do anything for me-" *police sirens* .......,"God, please help her" *sniffing*

"Stop killing your body, baby girl" *gaggs*

"Drop the weapon now!!" *loud distant crying*

"She's just a child!"

"You'll get addicted if you continue"

"You could die"

**************

"I'm so sorry"

"Niña! I tell you every damn time! Take showers at night, your always late for school-!" *the shower head stops*-"C'mon girl, your taking your moped!" A Mexican mother-

"Had a good shower baby girl?" A black father-

"Have a good day, sweetie"

"Stay out of trouble, please" The shitty school life I didn't ask for, but we can't choose the life you were given-

"Betsy, did you just arrive?" The annoyance we receive from others-

"Hey Betsy! I hope your injury isn't all that bad!" No one knows what happens after death. That's why there's religion. To believe in whatever there is, and whatever there isn't-

"Another heartbeat, another day to breathe, right Betsy?" but those that don't want to believe, cherish what they have in their life- family, friends, lovers. But more to meet as we settle into the future. Whenever the world is ready to move on. We can settle into our own desires.

3:40: After school.

"I'm amazed how you didn't get suspended Betsy"

"They said they had too many kids suspended at the time. They didn't want to look like they were just full of bad students who don't give a shit"

"The school is full of shit"

"Whatever, and don't call me Betsy. I'm Tony" Lie. My name is Betsy, but I really don't like that name. I prefer Tony. Betsy doesn't fit my personality. But people still call me Betsy, Betty. Some teachers call me by my last names. Rey and Johnson. I hate it. I hate school, and I hate a lot of people in my school. But I can't let my parents down. They want me to finish and graduate, but I'm nowhere interested in that. I just wanna live my life freely. Smoking, doing drugs for experience, drinking, partying, drawing, painting and relax whenever I want. I also play soccer, I love running. I work on my cardio when I can, but I'm not on the schools team or anything, I've been told that I am really good, but it's hard to believe. We all can't all get what we want.

"Hey, here comes that Alice chick"
"She's been handing out those envelopes all damn day" Dustin said.
"I heard she has a boyfriend" Adrian said.
"I heard he's younger than her"
"Ew, get her away" said Wendy.
"Let her come. She's nice" I said exhaling my cigarette.
"Hey guys"
"What's up Alice~ What brings you here? On this fine afternoon" They chuckled.
"Shut up" I whispered.
"Hehe. I'm doing great, thanks for asking. I'm just here cause I was hoping you guys would like to come to my sweet 16"
"A sweet 16? Is that how old your turning?! Wow, it literally feels like it was just yesterday you and I were just swinging on that swing set behind my house. How old were we? 6..7 years old?"
"Hehe, 10 actually. And it does feel like it, huh? Such great memories"
"Yeah~" Dustin, a sarcastic bastard that is hard to figure out if he's only being sarcastic with you. But he's been my friend since elementary. Him and I would always prank the other kids in our class.
"Well, your all invited. It's this Saturday"
"Do we have to bring a gift?" I asked.
"You don't have to, my parent's already bought me some gifts. It's not necessary, but it's your choice"
"Of course I'll bring a gift for my childhood friend"
"Hehe, thank you. Well I'll-"
"Wait, will there be alcohol there?" Wendy asked.
"Only for my senior friends and the colleagues. I'm sorry. I tried my best to convince my parents to let the others drink, but they just won't allow it. I apologize, I know how people like you guys like to drink and do that sort of stuff. Maybe if there's leftovers, I could save you guys some," Wendy let out a heavy angry sigh,"Uh-"
"Th-thanks, Alice. But you don't have to. It sounds fun, I'll go"
"Thanks. I'll see you there then. Bye" Dustin waved.
"Are you serious? Your parents go out every Saturday night and you have to babysit your sister"
"I know, I know. I'll just have Sam take care of her"
"Didn't Sam start working on Saturdays?"
"...Shit"
"Just don't go. I'll hang out with you on Saturday and we'll make our own party where anyone can drink"
"That's stupid. It's too late to host a party. Saturday is a day after tomorrow. I'll think of something"
"Why do you wanna go so bad?"
"My parents want me to get along with others, after the fight I had on Monday"
"Well, let me know if you change your mind. We can hit the bong at my house or the pit. Your choice"
"Cool, thanks"
"... Hey, you haven't done... You know.. " I remembered most of that night. But only flashes. I jumped off the hood of the car, throwing my cigarette on the ground and stepped on it. I took a deep breath.
"..... No"
