"Well, my parents won't mind having a friend crash in the basement. Besides, your 18, so you don't have to listen to your mum anymore. You can live with me if you please. That's all I got so far. We can think of more another day."
"Oh Cody! Thank you. I was never going to go to California with my mum, no matter what! Now I have an even better reason to stay!" Emma exclaimed.
Emma helped Cody find his t-shirt, which was crammed in the corner of her bed. Then Cody climbed down the drain pipe from the second floor to the dirt driveway below.
"Cody, call me as soon as you get back to your house. I want to make sure I can really still in your basement for the rest of the school year." Emma whispered screamed to Cody as he was climbing down. Cody replied with a simple head nod and vanished behind some trees, toward his house.
