It was a slow day at the Shinra Power Electric Company as a young blonde by the name of Kacie Fletcher a 3rd class SOLIDER who excelled in ranged attacking though she could also fight up close and personal if she had to but most times she got lucky enough not to. She had just come out of the training room when her mentor Anissa Konami a 1st Class had came up to her and told her they we're going on a mission that was slightly difficult and that she requested her to 2nd Class

Kacie had got really excited as she was not only going to be going on a mission but she that she was requested as 2nd class as she hugged her "Anissa!! thank you!!!" she had told her with excitement as Anissa just smiles a bit as she was still serious "please don't make me regret this discussion Kacie" had looked at her as she spoke as Kacie was quick to get serious "right sorry should we go then?" she let go of her and looked at her. Anissa had nodded "yes let's go the sooner we get this done the better" she told her as the two walked off to where the location of the mission was at as they did the main mission with a breeze suddenly out of nowhere a unknown unit started to attack them they managed to take them out except for one who had a long ranged gun that could kill on spot and he shot it his main target was Kacie as she was down from being a bit tired but before it got close to her Anissa shield her from the shot as she took it fully causing her to bleed out severely however she did take him out. Kacie was in a moment of shock till she snapped out of from Anissa hugging her and her hugging back only to feel blood "Anissa...why?...why did you have to go a be the hero?" she asked her trying not to cry as she laid her down looking at her. Anissa looks at her as she put her hand along kacie's cheek "I had to your like my own daughter...but please Kacie be strong I know you can" as she spoke weakly kacie had started crying "don't leave me behind not yet I'm not ready for you to leave me behind...let me help you like before" she cried out. Anissa softly smiles "you don't need me no more remember you have a lot of friends in SOLIDER one of which you have strong feelings for so be strong..." before she faded away she bestowed something special to Kacie "hold onto this and I'm always with you" she said as she lowered her hand as she was no longer of this world. Kacie was heartbroken but she pulled through till she got back to Shinra HQ and when she got back she had sat down on the couch as on her way back she left the only true friend she a message with just one sentence "please...find me I need a friend right now". Zack had just gotten back from his own mission when he walked to the SOLIDER room and found her "Kacie?.." before he could say anything he was nearly tackled with a hug as he looked down at her only to see her crying "wow...hey what's wrong?" he asked her as Kacie looked up at him as she was emotionally broken "A-anissa...was killed in our mission...protecting me from a gunshot" she told him between tears as she just hides her face in his chest. Zack just put his arms around her "damnit..." he said to himself as he couldn't say anything back even knowing how she felt her bond towards Anissa was a lot different then his when it came to Angeal "I'll be here for you always..." he said as he just held onto her just letting her cry she wasn't one to cry but this was a acception
