As you were cleaning your room, you heard someone open the door and it was no other than Kim Mingyu.

Your childhood bestfriend. He was like your brother so you didn't have feelings for him at all.

You both played alot when you were young since he was your neighbour and turns out your parents were close to his parents. So sleepovers happen often.

When you both turned 15 and 16, things got awkward and wanna know why? it was all because of him.

He said he liked you and that was like what? 3 years ago so you doubted he likes you anymore. Which made you glad since you can finally talk to each other. Anyways back to the story

"Hey" He said, You waved your hand as you touch the blanket again to arrange it. "I got a question" He says. "What is it" you asked. "Are you single?" He asked as he scratches his nape.

"Wha- Of course? Why ask?" You asked in curiosity. "That's weird" You thought.

"Oh nothing, just curious y'know? It's been 2 years since i last saw you" He says as he walks and squishes your cheeks.

"Anyways, better pack your bag cause you're going home tomorrow." You said, it was weird right? both your parents want y'all to have a sleepover to bring back the "good times".

**The next day**

You were walking down the hallway in the new school you just transferred in and of course. Your parents transferred you here cause Mingyu was here. They trust him, they really do.

Mingyu then grabbed you and put his arm on your shoulders. "what the-"

"Hi" He greets with a smile. "What do you want?"

"You" He mumbles. "what?"

"Nothing" Mingyu sticks his tongue out.

"Also i wanted to tell you something -"

"OMG! OPPA IS WITH AN ANOTHER GIRL!" Someone screams. Mingyu groans and whispers. "Fangirls."

"Are you perhaps his girlfriend?" A girl asked. "W-what? NO EW, we're just childhood bestfriends. I like someone else."

Someone sighed in relief. Ugh delulus for real. "Thank God."

Mingyu just looked at you, sorrow in his eyes. "Yah? Mingoo, why are you sad?"

"Huh? N-nothi- wait? mingoo??" He asks. You chuckled lightly "Yep, i missed calling you that."

Mingoo was your nickname for him when you both were kids. It brought back so much memories.

**After classes**

After your classes, you went outside and saw Mingyu. You waved and as you approach him he grabs your wrist and pulls you somewhere. He pinned you on the wall.

"Ming-"

"Shush. Before you say anything, can i please speak?"

"..." You stayed silent and nodded. "Look. I said i liked you right? 3 years ago" He chuckled. "If you're wondering if my feelings disappeared... It didn't."

"I- I still love you."

You were too stunned at the sudden confession.

"I'm sorry I don't like-"

"You did!" He shouted. "I'm-"

"Was it that one stupid dare? Oh come on Mingyu, wake up! It was a dare and why would i like you?"

"Just- mark my words Y/N. The next words that will come out of your mouth in a few months is 'I like you' And don't even lie you like someone else. You never even liked anyone your whole life." He said, pulling your face closer to his. Suddenly your heart was racing. For the first time you saw your own bestfriend as a man.

He left you there and kissed your cheek. That's when you realized...

You just fell for your bestfriend.
