The Aftermath

After that night of the incident, Bob was now dead. However, it still didn't cheer up Kevin, as his boyfriend Streber was in the hospital from Bob attacking him that night. A few weeks passed after all of that happened. One morning, Kevin woke up from a nightmare early in the morning. In his nightmare, he was blamed for Streber's incident. As he was heading to work, he was hearing voices telling him "It's all your fault." He tried to brush it off only for them to get louder the more he tried. Without Streber to comfort him, he was hopeless. As he was working, his co-worker Rick was still there and he noticed that Kevin's behavior changed and wasn't himself lately.

"What's wrong, Kevin..?" Rick asked. Kevin tried to hide his feelings and replied with "N-nothing! Just lack of sleep that's all..!" Then Rick could hear him mumble, "..I'm just worried about him.." Rick then asked "Worried about who..?" That's when Kevin had to open up. "..my...boyfriend..he's in the hospital...and I called over there, only for them to say he might not recover.." Kevin vented to Rick. "Why don't you go check up on him yourself..?" Rick asked. Kevin wasn't sure at this point. He thought that Streber might be mad at him "I don't know, but...I GUESS I can go over there after the shift is over.." Kevin said as both workers get back to work. After the shift is over, Kevin packed a bag of candy and went to get some flowers. As he was heading to the hospital, he was starting to reconsider his decision. "Should I be doing this? What if he's mad at me? Or worse..." Kevin thought to himself. He was scared that the vampire will be so upset at him, or even die.

As he arrived at the hospital, he went to the receptionist. He was very nervous as he was scared about what's gonna happen later on. He walked up to the desk and asked "Hi. I'm here to visit Streber?.." He was very nervous. The receptionist helped him out and gave him the room that Streber was in. Kevin made his way to the room and as he walked in, there was Streber laying on the bed. He looked like he was resting no longer has his left arm as it was wrapped up in bandages, even his head. Kevin went to sit down somewhere as he looked at the vamp dude.

"Hey, it's been a while...I'm just here to check up on you...to see if you're ok!.." Kevin said to Streber. However, there was no response from him. Kevin sighed as he continued. "I know you're mad at me that I wasn't there for you, but...at least I'm here for you right now!" Kevin added. And yet there was still no response from Streber. His heart monitor is still beeping so he's either resting or put in a coma. Kevin lays down the flowers and the bag of candy on the nightstand next to the bed for the lil vampire. "It's been a few weeks since that incident happened. I really miss you so much that things aren't the same without you. I've missed chatting with you back at the candy store and everything! And again, I'm sorry I wasn't there for you." He said as he looked at Streber. "And if you're listening right now, just know that I still love you.." He added as he moved Streber's hair out of the way to kiss his forehead. He thought about staying at the hospital until midnight so he can make sure Streber is safe there.

Few hours later, it was now 11:00PM. Kevin fell asleep resting his head on the bed since not long ago he had a breakdown. It was silent, until there was a loud sound. Kevin woke up from it, only to notice that the sound was the heart monitor. It turns out it was a flatline. He started panicking not knowing what to do. He rushed out the door to look for help. "...HELP, SOMEBODY HELP!!!..." He cried. Some doctors heard and rushed in. One of them asked Kevin to wait outside as they try to restart Streber's heart. Before they get onto that, one of the doctors told Kevin "Our attempt might be unsuccessful just so you know.." This did not make Kevin feel better in any way but made him close to breaking down again. "...nonononono, this can't be happening!!!..." Kevin said to himself as he waited outside. He prayed that his boyfriend will be ok but in this situation, it's a possibility. It seems that the lil vamp dude can't stay for too long. He's either going to live or let go and die.
