Ever since Test Tube had been eliminated, she had been rooming with Mic. She would admit without a doubt that they hadn't had the best relationship during the competition, with Mic being a huge thief and all. It was a bit tiring waking up everyday and having to see that stupid face of hers after knowing that so many of her inventions were missing because of her; No matter how much Test Tube would ask her where the gadgets had went, she'd either plead the fifth or whine about how she didn't know.
But whatever - nothing she could do about it. She was stuck with Mic, whether she liked it or not.

She got up with a quiet yawn and rubbed her eyes. She set off on her morning routine, first taking a shower, then brushing her teeth, then getting dressed. Her outfit had a simple green sweater and high waisted black pants, but this time she had put her labcoat on (with a sage green waistband, just to jazz the look up). She fixed her glasses and tied her short, fluffy green hair into a ponytail, which was basic lab protocol.

That's right! She was going to her lab today, and even though she went there frequently, this time she needed extra lab-safety protocol. Because.. she was going to make a.. well, a potion. A concoction, elixir, mixture of suspicious fluids, whatever it was! Gee. After all, she had hoped it would fix the weird feelings she'd been having lately.

Test Tube went down the stairs and rushed to grab her favourite cereal, chugging the entire thing down in one motion, half because she wanted to get to her lab quickly and half because she wanted to get there before he woke up. She threw her bowl in the hotel sink and walked out the door, her soft steps tapping the carpet akin to a squirrel dashing its way across a fence. She had been noticed by one person, however. A curious person, one who had just gotten down the stairs and was wondering why his best friend was attempting to act so inconspicuous in a household that she was allowed free reign in and out of.

Test Tube eventually made it to the lab's entrance, which she was no longer even slightly attempting to hide due to the open hatch. She did turn the rest into a whole rocket, and plus, everyone knew where it was anyways. She'd have to take extra precautions to make sure nobody comes in looking for her.
Testy had planned on making another way to hide it, or moving the entrance entirely, but she just hadn't had the time... that was a lie, of-course. Ever since she left II2 she had all the time in the world to do whatever she wished. Her thoughts had simply been.. occupied. But it was alright! She'd solve that today. If she could invent an entire rocket, surely she could invent a way to fix her own feelings?..

She ignored her own words with a sigh and slid down the exposed hatch, landing perfectly on her own two feet. The scientist went over to an elevator past a door in one of the far corners of the room and popped in a long code which would have taken the average human being around twenty seconds to fully type. It took her only two.
As she descended, she spiralled.
In order to fix her problem, she needed to stop being scared of identifying it. Her feelings.. why did it feel so scary for her to acknowledge them? Why did she feel so terrified when she confronted the raging feeling inside her heart?
Never in her life had she gotten butterflies around someone - never had she felt such a need to protect them like her own life depended on it, never... had she loved someone as much as she loved Fan.
But it was no use. Even if she identified what she knew she felt deep inside of her, there's no way he'd ever like her back.
That fear that taunted her every breath, that fear that caused her to shake whenever their eyes met..
That was the fear of rejection.
And today, she would eliminate it.
With her new declaration of confidence and refusal to be humiliated, the elevator's doors opened with a chime, and she stepped onwards.
