The Answer

A knock on the door disturbs Dev enjoying his time with Vidhi in his imagination which he certainly dint like and looked at the door in anger.

Dev: oh come in Arjun

Arjun happily comes in, shows him 2 boxes of jewelry and asks him which one would be good for Vidhi.

Dev: Vi.. Vidhi ke liye gift.. ku.. kuch khaas... i mean achanak se kyu ?

Arjun: are achanak nahi.. bahut time se soch raha tha.. mauka nahi mil raha tha. abhi uska bday aa raha hai na parso to socha abhi mauka sahi hai.

Dev knew its Vidhi's bday in few days and he was planning to bring her back to office as her bday gift but now seeing Arjun all giggling for giving these materialistic things as gift irked him.

Dev was sure Arjun does not know Vidhi at all... wo to ekdum alag hai... is duniya ki hai hi nahi meri Vidhi.

Arjun: Dev isme kya hai jab aap kisi ko pasand karte ho to gifts dena to banta hai na.

Arjun: Wo to.. wo to kya Dev... kya wo kisi aur ko pasand karti hai ? Arjun asked his question with an extra force and knowing look on Dev's face

Arjun: isme kya hai Dev. Kisi ko pasand kare ke liye koi time ki mandatory limitation to nahi hoti. Jaise pyar me umra ki koi seema nahi aise samay ki bhi seema nahi hoti. (Arjun was having a dreamy hopeful look while saying the last line which dint go well with Dev)

Dev: but Vidhi.... ka kya.. wo tumhe pasand kare aisa bhi to jaruri nahi hai na.

Dev knew what Vidhi feels so was confident vidhi would never reciprocate Arjun's feelings ever. But got a shock how Arjun responded

Arjun: are Dev... uski to aap fikar mat karo.

Dev raised his eye brows in disbelief, anger and in frustration picks up the coffee mug which was there for last an hour and coffee no less than just coffee flavored stale water.

Dev sipped tasteless coffee, gulped this very first dhamaka with that sip with so much difficulty
