I climbed up the steps of the bus. I sat down in my normal spot, the third one back. I'm the girl who sits in the front. Not because I have to, it's because I want to. I usually listen to music, and mind my own business. Today was different, I felt something was going to change my life. But, I didn't think about it to much, I knew something like that was never going to happen. I went into my bag to grab my phone. I reached inside to find a note from my mom it read:
"Hey honey, I hope you find this! When you get home I have something to give you."
I had no clue what she meant. My birthday was a month away. But I didn't think about it to much. I looked for my phone, and found it on the bottom of my bag. I put my earbuds in so I didn't have to hear the children. As I was listening to my music, I kept reading the note over and over trying to make sense of it. I got off the bus and walked to my locker. I grabbed my binder and sluggishly walked to first period. I nearly fell asleep in class. I hated social studies! I did what I had to do, then left. The next few periods felt like forever! And it was still a half day, where the classes are shorter. I felt so relieved when it was time for lunch. I couldn't wait to eat and talk with my friends, two of my favorite things. Yet, today felt different, I can't even explain it. Me and my friends were obsessed with my favorite band 'The Vamps'! They don't really know them that well, but they were my life! You don't even want to know how much posters, merch, and things I have. "So, Abbey what are you going to do you Brad gets married?" My friends said in a selfish way. I didn't have to think about it. I already new I the answer. Like, Brad is my favorite, you'd think I've thought about this before? Which I've done! " Buy a wedding dress!" I said in a quick, self satisfied way. All I heard was "Ohhhhhhh" from the people around us. I always thought my friends liked 'The Vamps' but I guess not. I was so happy to get on the bus, and go home! I hated my friends for what they said! But, I new we all couldn't love the same things.
