It had been a couple of days since the demon brought you here. You were given new clothes everyday; stylish kimonos with mostly floral patterns, as well as lounge wear. You were allowed to roam the building, but it was honestly not that extravagant. You hadn't seen him since that night, and for some reason the feeling of worry started to pit at the bottom of your stomach. Why was he keeping you here? Was he going to eat you? Was he going to use you for his own evil deeds? You were startled out of your thoughts when there was a light tapping at the door, you relentlessly opened it and found yourself up against the wall and a blade at your throat.
You opened your eyes and saw the familiar black and green ombre of hair. "Its you." you whispered. The figure looked up and quickly backed away when he realized it was you. "You're back.." he removed the blade from your skin and walked to around the center of the room, "Sorry the scent was different in here, I thought maybe someone had taken you." he turned back to you, grabbed your hand and you both sat on the nearby bed. He let out a long sigh, his voice even more ragged than the last time you'd seen him. "You're not actually planning to eat me.. are you?" he just side eyes you, his face blank, void of any emotion besides exhaust. "No. I won't eat you. Master Muzan request that I keep you alive." He cleared his throat before continuing, "According to him you're important, and hold valuable information that he desperately needs."
You look at him confused for a moment,
"Master Muzan? And what valuable information could I possibly have? "
His eyes look to you, examining every inch of your figure.
"You're the only person who knows of the blue spider lily's whereabouts. That's why he asked me to find you. You'll be meeting the other upper moons tomorrow, where our mission starts. And once it's found he gave me specific orders. To either turn you into a demon, or to kill you. Both of which is your choice."
Your heart stuttered in your chest. You would soon be forced to become something you feared, and if you refused.. the only other option would be death. You had a life you'd barely even lived yet, now you were stuck between a rock and a hard place. He placed a thin hand on yours to help soothe your emotions, softly telling you to breathe and to count down from ten and such. As a demon, he was able to slightly sense emotions from humans. Granted, he had never cared about it before up until this moment."Hey, I know it's probably a lot right now, but-" He scratched at his skin before speaking again. "I think you'd make a great demon." His eyes looking to you sweetly. "And it's okay if you choose not to become one. I'm sure I can find a way to keep you hidden from Master Muzan."
You smiled, but before you could speak you hear the sound of a biwa being strung. Its chord was loud and unwelcoming to your ear drums. Closing your eyes and covering your ears to hide from it. You felt like you were spinning, yet you hadn't moved. You could hear the demon curse under his breath, almost completely covered up by the sounds of sliding doors shutting quickly. You opened your eyes a bit, the room changed with every strike of the biwa. The sharp chords continued, the rooms spiraling, changing, doors sliding shut, and repeating every other second or so. It was enough to make you sick to your stomach. When it came to a stop, you felt dizzy, grabbing onto the demon for support. He placed a hand on your shoulder to help keep you upright. You opened your eyes completely; the room was open. And by open, there were vast amounts of different floors, some were tipped over, some were normal, and you could see everything in them. The walls a sweet brown, almost a caramel color. The lights were a bright orange, nearly blinding. The biwa was struck once more and you found yourself in front of a group of people. Not people, they looked too different. They were demons, they all looked interesting. One was a scared old man with a large bump on his head. Another looked a lot like a fish with multiple hands. One was a beautiful woman with white hair, another was a young-looking man with pink hair and multiple deep blue markings on his body. But two mainly called your attention. A snow-like blonde man, with the most beautiful eyes you'd ever seen. Wearing a red and black turtleneck, tight enough that you could see the build of his body. His teeth were borne into an open smile as his voice filled your ears. "My my, what a pretty one. Can I keep her?" You didn't even have a second to blink when he was already in front of you, his hands delicately holding your arm. You looked up to see the pink haired one behind him and hit his mouth, causing his entire lower jaw to fly off, blood splattering all over your face.
Wiping it off as you looked to the second one that caught your eye. He was mysterious, and didn't chat with the others, he sat on his knees with his hands on his thighs. His crimson hair tied into a high ponytail with his bangs out, framing his face quite nicely. His eyes, or at least all six of them were also a burning bright orange mixed with a deep blood red. And the bright purple of his kimono mixed with black squares brought out the color of them. He was well put together, and extremely polite. Even though he never said a word; he simply nods to you, acknowledging your existence. "Everyone sit." You heard a frightening voice behind you. Your heart felt as if it was going to jump out of your chest, the voice chuckled deeply, as you felt a hand that wasn't the one you were used to on your shoulder. "Oh dear, seems you're frightened little one. And you have every right to be." You looked to your right, seeing a man with bloodshot eyes, and short black hair. A white hat resting upon his head, and a smile on his lips. His nails slightly dug into your skin, drawing blood. Wincing in pain, you clenched your arm. Hearing him chuckle to himself again as he spoke. "So sorry my dear, old habit." His eyes changed from sweet to menacing as he looked to his left at the demon you were with. "I said sit Gyutaro." The demon you knew, Gyutaro, looked to you with worried eyes, and nods sitting next to the white-haired girl. "Douma, Akaza. You as well."
They bowed and walked to their seats. "Yes Master Muzan." They said almost in unison as they sat. The one known as Douma sat next to the six eyed man, while Akaza sat with the fish looking demon. "Have a seat dear, sit wherever you'd like." You looked from the man behind you to the group of demons in front. At first you wanted to sit with Gyutaro, but nowhere was available. You looked around and found a spot in between Douma and the man in purple. You sat between the two demons, nodding to Gyutaro and he smiles slightly. "Welcome little one" You hear a voice deep, but soft and polite next to you on your right. It was the one with six eyes, he looked to you, a small welcoming smile spread onto his lips. "Thank you." Douma looked across from you at the one you were talking to. "Kokushibo-san don't hog the girl to yourself!" Kokushibo huffed lightly before speaking. "As if you're anyone to talk Douma. " Douma looked astonished. "Hey! That was just downright mean Kokushibo-san!" Before they could continue bickering, you all heard Muzan clear his throat. "That's quite enough you two." They bowed their heads and spoke, "My sincerest apologies Master Muzan."
"Now, shall we get started with the meeting?"
