Gemon of Immolation

            The crystal’s center comes from the stars. It appears to be an ordinary stone, however… When the planet’s energy is collected and matures, the crystal glows and turns into an elemental crystal, a Gem. A Gemon releases the power stored inside the Gem. This generates an enormous amount of power. Once a Gemon has gathered a crystal, there is the danger of destruction.

            The original sin of Gemons is that their souls cannot be saved. The destruction of Pravoka was caused by the greediness of Gemons. This avarices comes from arrogance, and there are no limits to its desire. The dragons and Gemons fought day and night for control of the world. In an epic clash, the dragon’s tremendous defensive powers and the mighty powers of the Gemons’ Runes collided with terrible force. The very world began to fall asunder from this cataclysmic impact. The Gemons began extracting the power of their Rune crystals without limit, and the planet’s life force was drained away. The commission of such a crime is due to the Gemons’ lack of souls. They have no reverence for life, and seek only their own power. Soyid’s Light blesses our souls after the deaths of human beings. It allows us to rest in peace. Whereas Soyid has turned His back on the Gemons, who can never escape fate. Therefore, when a Gemon dies it is reborn over and over again. It is a wretched existence without the grace of Soyid’s Light.

            Runes are a vital force that fills the planet. They come from Soyid’s Light itself. In order to use them, there are several systems to be used. One, the Spells. These Runes are fabricated by the Church. Only the clergy are allowed to use them, by Soyid’s permission. Two, the Magic. There is no difference between this and spells, however, magic is only used by Gemons. There is a chance that magic can wither the planet’s vital forces. Three,  the Incarnation. Sometimes Rune can be found inside certain stones, called Vita. But only a small amount of Rune is found within the stone. Often there are several kinds of Rune mixed together inside the stone, which lowers its purity and makes it difficult to judge its usefulness.

“You’re telling me a few small kids are the ones killing the monsters!?”

            “I heard they even defeated a real Gemon! They found her somewhere in the forest…”

            “You can count on the Starlights! They’re so reliable!”

            “As long as they’re around, I’m not afraid of those nasty Gemons!” a bunch of civilians on a town of Pront chatting about the incident at the old mansion.

            “Ha ha! We’re heroes here. I could get used to this treatment.” Keith smiled looking up in the sky.

            “I’m a little embarrassed. Right, Ahru?” Mina blushed.

            “Huh? Yeah, you’re right.”

            “We wish for peace and the Light…” Ruri said. “A small Light that belongs to the hearts of the people… Let’s all do our best to protect their Light.”

            “Personally, I’m wishing for the smiles of all the lovely ladies.  Heh heh.” Keith smirked behind her.

            Not a few minutes ago, they finally reached the Lucent Church. It’s located in the middle most of the town.

            “Wow! So this is the Church? It’s huge!” Mina opened her mouth, hanging.

            “Let’s all go and greet Cardinal Quo together.” Alec stopped walking and then he turns to them.

            “Does that include me?” Celfi asked.
