Jaden slams his wardrobe open, taking a quick peak at the calendar to confirm what Ivy told him. She was right, today is the day they were supposed to meet with the Sage. And it was currently 7:15 am, he had until 8 before several people - several people being one girl and a knife - would come to kill him.
Quickly slipping on a random colorblock shirt, he grabs his second favorite jacket, a simple black out and red in kind of jacket. Throw on some jeans, his watch, and sneakers and he's ready to go.
"Alison! I'm heading out today!" Jaden yells, sliding down the staircase's railings. "Woah, what's gotten you so worked up, kid?" Alison comments, flicking her gear up to look Jaden in the eye. "Meeting with the Sage at 8, I've gotta go! Later auntie!" He heads for the door, only to get grabbed by the hood of his jacket. "What do you say to auntie when you leave, darling?" Jaden internally groans. "...Love you." "I love you too! Have a good day, sweetie!" Alison cheers. Jaden nods and heads off.
Commuting would likely take an hour, that would make him about 30 minutes late. Skateboarding is out of the question as well, so that leaves one other option.. Running.
"What are you doing?" A familiar voice chuckles, just as Jaden tries to start his run. "Ace!" Jaden exclaims, "Hi." The large tiger Ace was riding on comes to a halt in front of Jaden, "I was taking Cheshire out for a walk, big boy needed some air." The large white tiger stretches and yawns as Ace cooes over it. "So, what's got you in a rush?" Ace inquires, finally turning their attention to Jaden's distress. "Yeah, um. We're gonna be late to the meeting with The Sage soon." Ace grimaces. "I forgot about that."
Ace gestures for Jaden to get on Cheshire. The vampyr does, with much hesitation. Unsurprisingly, the overgrown cat is fast enough to beat traffic, so they get there just about 10 minutes early.
"I can't believe you!" Ivy sneers, "Yeah yeah princess, just shut your face hole." Jaden groans, opening the door to the large building. Ace and Volyte greet each other in a rather friendly manner, unlike the two quarrelling children. "This way, Jaden. You shouldn't get lost." "I've got it! Don't treat me like a child."
"Ah, you all have arrived." Sage smiles at them.
"Good morning, Master Sage." Ace greets, "G-good morning.. Master Sage." Jaden hesitantly repeats. "Morning dews befall you, Master Sage." Ivy bows gracefully, her brother follows her lead with a silent bow. Jaden twitches at her politeness. If only she was that polite all the time, then we wouldn't have any issues. He would've state.
