You smiled as you gazed over the moonlit lake. You, Maka, Black Star, and Tsubaki had all been assigned on a mission way out in sticks, so naturally, you all agreed to rent a cabin for the night. The only problem was that Soul was there too. You had a HUGE crush on him, whenever he was around, you always grew shaky which gave it away that you liked him.
The lake look so tempting right now,the cool crisp water, the low light. After a long hard day of fighting it seemed ideal. You poked your head inside of the cabin. "Makes,Tsu, I'm going down to lake." Maka smiled. "Alright." Tsunami nodded. You returned the smile and turned your heel and walked down the small trail down to the calm lake.
Upon arrival, you smacked your forehead in realization. You had forgotten your swimsuit! Ugh but the cabin was so far! Why were you so forgetful? So lazy? Well.......there's always nuclear option. No, no skinny dipping was not an option. What are you talking about? Of course it was!
You did a 360 degree turn around the forest. Nobody was insight. You quickly and ever so cautiously peeled off your clothing. Hanging your delicate underwear on a low branch along with your bra. And like a ninja, slipped into the cool moonlit water.
Everything was peaceful until you heard distant footsteps. You sunk into the water up to your nose. As the footsteps approached. Black Star appeared in the moon light. He didn't seem to notice you as your heart pounded.
Black Star was like a brother to you, Ever since childhood. You didn't really care if he saw you naked it was just another one of those special bonds you had with him. He walked on to the shore, totally oblivious of your clothing hanging on a branch. He walked right towards the clothing and ended up walking right into your shirt.
"What the hell?" You could hear Black Star rip the clothing off his face. "(Y/N)'s shirt." The blue haired bushin looked over the lake. "(Y/N) are you out there?" You poked your mouth above the water line. "Yeah."
Black Star saw your little head poke out of the moon reflected water. "Alright, I was just coming to tell you that the pop corn is ready. But I think I'll take your clothes and hide them."
Your eyes widen. "No Black Star! I need those! What if Soul sees? No Black Star put them down!" Too late. The mischievous boy had already gathered up all your clothing and ran off. Great. You sunk back into the water. Stupid Black Star. Thanks to him, Soul was probably going to see your underwear and bra.
But the water was so calm, so cool. Your anger and nervousness melted away as you slowly closed your eyes and listened to the forest. After a nice moment of peace again, more footsteps were heard. Maybe Black Star had a change of heart and decided to bring back your clothes?
You opened your eyes to see who was coming. Your heart sank and then lifted like waves. No Black Star, no Maka, no Tsubaki; Soul. And only Soul. Oh no.
You waded out as far as you dared. You could get a pretty good view of him. You watched quietly as he slid off his shirt, revealing his chest and the long scar across it. Thank god he didn't take anything else off. You watched him, half modified he might discover you, but also thanking Shinigami that you could see this blessed sight.
As you began to day dream about him. You didn't notice that he was approaching you! He was very close, when you finally pulled out of your thoughts. "Hey (Y/N), I didn't expect to see you here." Soul's voice broke the silence. You whipped your head around to look at him. "O-Oh hi S-Soul...what are you doing all the way out here?" Your voice as expected. Shaky
"I decided to come out here and take a break before the movie." Soul smiled. "O-Oh" You stammered. Soul titled his head. "Is something wrong?" You shook your head. "Oh no, no! Everything's fine....just fine..........it's just a little hot in here."
Soul knitted his eyebrows in confusion. "We're in a lake, and it's pretty cold. But if your cold I could warm you up." Soul's arms lifted out of the water and reached towards your body. "No I-"
Before you could say anything else, Soul's warm arms were wrapped tightly around you as he pulled you closer to his bare chest. "Why are you cringing like that? Relax." Soul chuckled and spun you around so your chest was against his. You looked up at him with beet red cheeks as a look of realization slowly spread across his face.
"Soul I-"
"You're not wearing a swimsuit are you?" set his gaze forward as he held you.
"N-No"
"So you're skinny dipping."
"Yes......."
Before Soul could say anything more, a large river of blood spurted from his nose and propelled him backwards into the water. Releasing you as he did so. A large cloud of blood surrounded his limp body that floated lifelessly on the water's surface. "Soul?" You tilted your head. "H-Huh....?" Soul gurgled. "Are you alright?" You slowly edged closer to him. "Fine"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Did Black Star show you my underwear? He ran off with them and I couldn't grab them fast enough........" You mumbled as you gazed at the shore line. "I wish he did." Soul slowly regained his balance.
"Thank god he didn't." You mumbled as you shook your head and facepalmed. "So you're totally naked huh? No hope of clothing what-so-ever?" Soul raised an eyebrow with a wry smirk. "Yes." You sighed. "I'll go get you some clothes." Soul turned around and began to wade out of the water. Your head rose up from your palm. "Really? That's so nice of you....." Soul turned his head and smiled. "As much as i'd like to leave you like that, I can't, It's not cool" Soul said as he stood up and out of the water.
"How can I ever thank you?" You looked up at the white haired boy as he slipped on his shirt. "Say yes to any question I asked right now." Soul pulled his shirt over his head. "Okay, what?"
"Be my girlfriend?" Soul titled his head. A smile spread across your face. "Yes."
