(the photo on the top is what Palma looks like)
Palma's tree is a palm tree, a palm tree in the middle of the forest. Funny right? Nah, our forest is full with different types of trees, blossoms, evergreens, pine trees, palm trees. It's what makes us unique but it's also what attacks the wreckers. The wreckers started coming about a year ago. They would come out of the blue and chop down multiple trees and take them to the village. Did they not know that when they did such thing that they had just murdered hundreds of tree fairies? Ever since I have learned about them, I can't stop worrying that they will kill Palma. I wouldn't be able to handle if my little sister was gone. I loved her more than Marco did and it made me nuts that I couldn't do anything about it. Every night. I would lie in bed, wondering if the wreckers would come back. No one else seems to be so worried. Is it only me?
"Yeah, it is Arbory, no one gives a crap about them, the hadn't been here for six months,"
my bestfriend Blossom tells me as she braids some vines together, making a crown. Fairies say that Blossom is way to honest but I like that about her. It makes things so much easier.
"I know but there is a possibility that they might come back and murder us! It might be you or me or who knows what!" I sigh as I lie down on the grass field.
"I say that Ar has a point. We don't know what might happen." Elm says.
Elm is my other best friend. He's really smart and talented. This one time, he managed to get a 100% on his MTFT (MFFT stands for Major Tree Fairy Test. Wow, so creative right?) and he can also play moon ball really well. Oh, and when he smiles, his dimples are the cutest thing in the world and his laugh could cheer up anyone. I don't understand why he isn't with the popular group, he's so cute.
Oh my god, forget I said that. He's just a friend. I don't have a crush on him. ok, maybe a little one. Okay, maybe not little.
"Elm, don't encourage her!" Blossom says as she playfully punches Elm on the arm. He laughs and kisses her on the nose.
Oh, did I forget to mention? Blossom and Elm are dating. Happy third wheeling for ugly Arbory and also another reason I can't have a crush on Elm. It's literally illegal to have a crush on your best friend's boyfriend, right? Especially if you only have 2 and the other is the boyfriend. Elm starts to play with Blossom's hair as he suddenly looks at me. His eyes are a warm coffee color and I feel like warmth itself is hugging me when he gives me a small but genuine smile.
"Don't worry Blossom, I'm not going to do anything stupid. It's not like anyone will listen to me." I say as I wrap my fingers around a long strand of grass. I close my eyes and sigh. I feel a warmth in my hand as Elm wraps his finger around mine and lies down next to me, followed by Blossom. This is our ideal pose. All three of us lying down, hands conjoined together. I try to not think about the wreckers. I try to think about my future, which to be honest isn't as bright as I want it to be. So instead, I think about Palma's. I imagine her with Marco. I imagine her eyes as she marries him in the aisle, twinkling like the stars. I imagine them having two beautiful kids. I imagine being an happy aunt, playing with my niece and nephew. Soon enough, I have a slight smile appear on my face. I sit up an look at my friends. They were starting into each other's eyes. Another tug of envy pulls me pack into reality. I sit up and tell them that I'm going back to my tree. I swirl awkwardly and the world around me turns green for a second. I land on a familiar wooden floor. My surroundings comfort me as they whisper to me
home sweet home
