Chapter 2 - Cali Here I Come

Early the next morning I woke up to the coffee machine beeping, so I decided to go and have a cup of coffee with a lot of creamer.

I started to make breakfast for me and Haley, I got the eggs and bacon out of the fridge and started hearing the sizzling sound of bacon as it hit the hot pan. Once I'm done cooking and all the food is ready I woke up Haley and we ate breakfast.

My flight for California leaves in four hours so I have to hurry up and get ready to be at the airport on time.

My mom drove me and Haley to the airport. The drive wasn't that long, me and Haley were just sitting in the car singing to our favorite songs.

Next thing I knew I was already at the airport saying goodbye to my best friend.

"I'll call and text you all the time!" Yelled Haley is I stepped foot onto the plane.

I'm lucky I wasn't seated next to complete idiot on the plane wanting to sleep on my shoulder, or a little kid kicking the back of my seat. I was actually seated next to this complete hottie!

He had this deep brown hair, and was wearing a burgundy beanie. He was on his phone checking YouTube before we had to turn airplane mode on, on our phones and he was drinking an Arizona tea.

"What Youtubers do you like to watch?" I asked him shyly.

"Oh I like a whole lot of people." He said as he put in his ear buds, and started to listen to music.

Well that went great I thought sarcastically in my head. Then I just watched outside the window for a while.

The flight went so fast! Me and my mom went to get our suitcases at the baggage claim,mine is purple with white polkadots. I walked over to the Starbucks at the food court and bought a vanilla white mocha. It was good but not as good as Caribou back home.

When we got to our new house my mom said I could pick any room I wanted, so I went upstairs and found a decent sized room with a nice balcony, a huge walk-in closet, and an attached bathroom.

I started to unpack some of my clothes and I thought screw it, and went outside on my skateboard to practice some tricks. I nailed a flip kick, and just went around the block couple times.

When I got back home I ate some pepperoni pizza and watched some funny YouTube videos. Then Haley started to call me. "Hey what's up?"

"I'm the one who should get to ask all the questions right now!" Giggled Haley

"Ok. Ask away then."

"How was the flight? Did you see or meet any cute guys yet!? How's the hous-"

"Whoa slow down! First of all the flight was great because I met this really cute guy!" The smile on my face grew.

"Tell me everything! Did you get his number?"

"Oh crap, I forgot to ask him for his number! I feel so dumb now!" I hit my forehead, I was so into him I forgot to ask.

"Oh it will be okay... So tell me everything else!"

I spent another hour and a half on the phone with Haley before I fell asleep on my bedroom floor.
