Akeila and her father hopped into his pickup truck as he fussed at his daughter for 'making them late'

"seatbelt" he said stopping his rant for a second before starting again about how She takes just as long as her mother

He pulled out the drive way once he heard her seatbelt click  speeding down the street

"Baba please i get it" the teenage girl said rolling her eyes

"Just know you're the reason we're late" he stated before cutting the radio on letting rap songs from the 90's play

After a silent 15 minute drive ares and his daughter finally arrived at the blacks resident

"C'mon Keli" ares said to his daughter opening the car door for her "im good imma stay in the car you go have fun" she replied back smiling and patting his shoulder

"Get out the damn truck" he said unbuckling her seatbelt

"Mmcht if I get drunk and die tonight it's your fault" she said to her father dramatically before hopping out his tall ass truck

"Why would you be drinking? There's plenty of adults to watch you kids 24/7" he stated throwing his arm around her walking up to the door

"You know I could be sneaky when I want to be"

"it ain't nun to just sneak a drink and act like nothing happened" she said smiling at him

"Hush and knock on the door" he said once they reached the front door

I took a deep breath letting out a sigh as I exhaled before knocking on the door  softly Causing baba to side eye me

"Now what if they ain't hear that baby ass knock" he said pointing at the door

" knock again girl " he said letting his arm fall

I replied by sucking my teeth raising my hand and as I was about to knock the door swung open with no one other than Jacob black standing at the door

'Holy shit' 

I quickly hid behind my dad before jake could properly see me holding my breath

"Hey pop we were starting to think you weren't coming" Jacob said smiling at my dad

'Oh my god his voice'

"Hey jake" my dad said stepping forward to dap him up causing me to be revealed

I wanted to just roll up in a ball right when his eyes made contact with mines and that smile I once loved immediately grew bigger

"CHICA OH MY GOD ITS BEEN SO LONG" He yelled walking over to me picking me up into a hug

Out of instinct my legs quickly wrapped around his waist

"Hi jake" I said trying to hide that I was extremely nervous

"You okay?" He asked placing me down "mhm" I said trying to avoid his dark brown eyes that still had this twinkle in them from since we were kids

"How have you been?" He asked wrapping his arm around my shoulder leading me inside

"Good what about you?" I answered trying to stop the smile that was starting to appear

"Good you know Bella is back also right? Maybe we could all hang out" he stated excitedly smiling

all though I heard everything he said I couldn't find enough willpower to stop myself from staring at him

"Rae?" Jake called out to me smirking "yea yea sure" I said smiling at him before looking down

"Okay how is Thursday?" He asked pulling his phone out "that's fine" I said finally pulling away from his grip

"Put your number in" he said handing me his phone

"Are you asking or telling me?" I asked playfully raising my eyebrows

"I'm telling you Sarai put your number in" he said lowering his eyebrows a bit

'Fuck man'

Ever since we were kids Jacob has always been the only person who can make me submissive or nervous

I've always been a very strong headed and bold person so I never really listen when I was told what to do and I would always put up a fight

But just as when we were kids jake was the other person other than my mother to get me to listen with just one word

"Now please " he whispered causing me to snatch the phone out of his hand placing my number in it before handing it back and walking away

"Where we going?" He asked following me towards the woods

"No I'm going somewhere you're staying" I said fake smiling patting his shoulder

"Or we can both go to wherever you're going together or we can go back inside and I tell your dad you were trying to run away" he said with a huge smile on his face

"Go head and tell I really don't care" I said walking off further into the woods

"Fine but don't be mad at me when he comes and raises hell " he said chuckling before jogging back to his house

"Jake fine c'mon bruh" I said l
waiting for him to catch up

"So where are we going?" He asked placing his arm on my shoulder

"Just hush and keep up"
