CHAPTER TWELVE

Skylar POV
Today,Mr and Mrs Parker went out. Later on,Asher and Xander also went out saying some about going to a funfair. Aaron did not come home yesterdays so I was the only one at home. I was upstairs in my room which I had decorated as sooner as I could move around. I heard the front door open in the middle of me making an artwork on my phone. I quickly got up and took the closest thing to me which was my bedside lamp. I tiptoed down the stairs into the living room all the while wondering how the person got past security. When I got downstairs I realised it was Aaron. I sighed in both relief and defeat. I don't know how but I managed to do it. Relief because it was not an intruder like I thought and defeat because I knew he was going to try and make me feel as bad as possible. Why that sigh? He taunted. I am going to prove you are not my sister he said before spraying perfume right in front of my face. I felt my lungs constricting before I started coughing and gasping trying to get air into my lungs. I raised my head to see Aaron looking at me in shock. At that moment, Octavian walked in and immediately rushed to me. Inhaler, desk drawer I managed to wheeze out. Octavian hurriedly carried me to my room before taking my inhaler and handing it to me. I took huge puffs and could finally breathe again. He stayed with me till I fell asleep. Right before I fell asleep I asked him. Octavian hmm he hummed am I a spoilt brat? N-no.
Then why does Aaron keep calling me that? It hurts I mumbled before falling asleep.

Octavian POV
I couldn't believe my eyes when I went into the Parkers' living room. Aaron was standing over a wheezing and coughing Skylar with shock evident on his face. I quickly rushed to Skylar who managed to wheeze out. Inhaler, desk drawer. I realised she was having an asthma attack and quickly carried her to her room before giving her inhaler to her. I can't believe Aaron did this to her .I really wanted to hurt him but I resisted that urge and held Skylar till she fell asleep. Just before she completely fell asleep she called Octavian hmm I hummed.Am I a spoilt brat? N-no.I answered. Then why does Aaron keep calling me one? It hurts she mumbled before falling asleep. Her last sentence broke my heart and fuelled my anger towards Aaron. I made sure she was comfortable before storming towards Aaron.
Y-you hur-hur-h-hurt h-her. I spit out.
Unfortunately for him, my inability to speak freely was making me angrier . S-sh-s-she was ab-abu-abused and she s-st-s-s-still ma-manages to s-smi-sm-smile yet you ca-call her a s-s-sp-spo-spoil-spoilt brat.I said all this while punching him. He had a look of regret on his face but I had started already. A few minutes into me punching him,Asher and Xander walked in. What the.....they both said. What is wrong with you? Moments later,Mr and Mrs Parker also walked in and looked at us in shock.
What the hell is going on here?Mrs Parker screamed. Octavian! Stop now! I ignored her and continued punching him. Asher and Xander held me down and while I was struggling against them, Mr Parker helped Aaron up. Will someone please tell me what is going on? Mrs Parker asked as calmly as she could. W-why don't y-y-you a-ask your s-s-s-son? I spat angrily.
Octavian Mr Parker said what have I told you about your anger? I only looked at him refusing to talk since I knew the words wouldn't come out.
Octavian ,Xander said. You have to calm down and tell us what happened. N-n-no
Octavian, Asher sighed.I s-s-s-said no.
Aaron what did you do? Mr Parker asked calmly. I-I almost killed her.he answered quietly. I triggered an attack an asthma attack. She almost died. Instead of helping her,I stood in front of her and watched her suffer . Also I have been insulting her the least opportunity I get. I usually call her a spoilt brat who is only after your money. Y-you cal-c-called her a g-g-gold dig-digger? Yes he sighed. I was about to lunge at him again when I heard her scream.
I rushed to her room with everyone behind me.
