CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
BILLIE-HALES:
"Okay, guys now you can open your calendars," Carson says and I take in a deep breath. I've never felt so nervous, in my life. Even more so when everyone heads straight for Dawson's shot, including Jax. Oh my god, here we go."Billie, what the FUCK?"
His heads snap up, to look at me. Oh hell, he looks shocked with a side of pissed too. I end up sending him a sheepish, but guilty look while grinning and biting my lip."Happy Christmas Dawson," I tell him with a chuckle.
"Mother FUCK."
Everyone laughed their heads off, including me and even Carson.
"Trust me, Daw. Women love stuff like this. You'll have them all wanting you to deliver their special Christmas gifts."
He paused for a beat, thinking on my words and then his lips curve up into a grin.
"Yeah, I guess my jingle-balls will impress them."
I end up rolling my eyes and that's when Garret cuts in. "Take a magnifying glass along with ya, they'll no doubt need it."
Dawson sent Garret the finger, making everyone laugh even harder.
Oh boy, I love my job...The day I took a pictures of a few sexy rugby players... Christ, and I was scared about it too. No, not for me; I meant for the lads. My family... sorry, my aunts were way too excited about it. Sure, I guess that's okay, but I worried they'd get a little too carried away with this. I hoped I'd be flapping over nothing... Oh boy, was I wrong.
So, while making sure I have all my equipment. You know, my camera and plenty of batteries, along with plenty of memory cards. I'm taking glances towards the main house while I wait for Jax, and the rest lads to come out.
We're still waiting on my aunties. I'd rather they didn't, but they insisted they help. Mum and granny Hales are here already. They're helping the lads with their outfits. Well, I say "outfits" there's not really much to them, but you get the idea. You know, since it's a charity calendar after all."Hey, Sweetheart, the boys are ready... But we, um... We might have a little. Well, it's more like a big problem actually."
I turn to look at my mum and ask what's going on. The look on her face made my stomach twist a little.
"Oh god, what's wrong? Seriously, are they complaining already?"
Mum shook her head, telling me they're not complaining.
"Well, it's um..."
"Mum, spit it out. Come on, we only have so much daylight left."I'm panicking a little because I can't have any setbacks. Yet mum's looking a little flushed, but then I notice a slight grin on her lips. That's when my granny comes out with a huge smile on her face.
Oh, for god's sake! What the hell is going on?"My days, it's a good job there's nothing wrong with my heart. Woof, talk about balls-of-steel."
Now she's fanning her face while my mother, blushed and chuckled."Oh god, do I even want to know?" I ask. Mums about to fill me in when the boys finally walk out, wearing robes. Well, some are anyway. A couple are wearing their rugby shirts, while others are in their underkecks. All with flip-flops on their feet.
So I look at mum and ask again, what's the problem? Mum leaned in and whispered the issue in my ear."That... oh God, that Scottish lad. Honey, his briefs kinda, don't fit."
My brows nip together and I tell her to make him wear a bigger set, but again, she shook her head.
"Billie, they were the bigger size. They were the only bigger size we had. Oh, bloody hell, I've never."As my eyes go a little wide. I'm wondering what I'm supposed to do with this? Then my granny cuts into my panic again.
"Billie, the man is a monster. I've never in my life - not ever... Oh boy."
Again, she's fanning her face.
"Shh," Mum snapped, making sure they don't hear us while they come closer.
Of course, as soon as I see Garret, my eyes automatically look down. Oh boy, I see he's wearing a towel, but it's a small one wrapped around his narrow waist.
I don't realise I'm staring until my mum discreetly nudged me.
"Okay, Angel, where do you want us?"
Instantly my eyes snap up to look at Jax. My eyes are a little wide from the shock. Christ, I hope he didn't see me looking at it?
