Traveled Too Much.

I look to the side of the car window. Music blaring into my headphones. I have been inside this car for over 3 days now.

My parents didn't want to pay a lot of money for a airplane flight.
So instead, they thought driving is way much better.

During midsummer , my dad called me downstairs. Saying that he needed to tell me something.

My dad. A great business man who is true to his family and to his work. It sucks that he is getting old. The white streaks are already shining on his hair. My dad was sitting across the dining table. I leaned on a chair in front of him.

"What's up dad?"

He looked at me, "We're moving cities."

Simple as that. Said it without hesitation. By this news, of course every average 17 year old girl would be fighting to stay. But for me, I wanted that change.

"Alright, when will we be moving?"

Dad stares at me in shock. For what? Cause I didn't fight to stay here in Warlington?

"Blaze, you're okay with us moving?"

"Yea dad, I mean....why wouldn't I be?"

I'm already sick and tired of this town. Knew the same people since I was little.

"Cause I thought my little blaze would like to stay here." He said smiling at me.

Blaze, my nickname. Of course it isn't my real name. But more people knew my nickname more than my actual name.

"No, Dad. I'm cool with it. But.."

"But..?"

"Why are we moving?"

For a moment, Dad went silent. Trying to choose his words carefully.

"Job transfer?" I asked impatiently.

He shook his head.

"You know, your mother always wanted to go there."

I raises my eyebrow at him. My mom wanted to go to where?

"To Ocean View, California Blaze."

Oh, great. California, where the rich kids live.

"Of course, and what school am I going to?"

Dad brighten up. "To Ocean View highschool of course!"

Basic name for a high school if you ask me.

"Alright well dad, you didn't answer my first question."

Dad widen his eyes , remembered my question he skipped.

"Oh! We will be moving in about 4 days. In the car."

In the car? Are you nuts Dad? That would take us 4 days or even a year to get there.

"Umm, Dad are you crazy?!" I raised my voice a bit.

"No, I am not. I'm serious Blaze."
He said it with a straight face.

"Dad, that would take forever to get there! Why not we take a airplane or something?"

"No, Blaze. Costs too much. Plus we'll make it." Dad gave me a look that will kill me in about 2 seconds.

"We already called the movers and told them we will follow them, okay?"

Giving up already, I sighed.

"Fine. I'll start packing."
~~~
I didnt have any close friends back home. So when I told them I was leaving, they seemed they didn't care much. Whatever, they can live without me.
Taking my headphones off, I wonder how many more painful hours are left till we get there. "Dad, are we even close?" I groan.
Dad lookes at the rear-view mirror and stares at me. "We are close. We'll be at the house in 30 minutes."
"FINALLY!" I yelled out, stretching my arms. I totally forgot we are already at Ocean View.
"Shh, sweetie. I know you're tired but wait a little bit longer?" Mom said in a sleepy voice.
Shouldn't she be excited? This is her dream to live in Ocean View.
I looked outside while putting on my skull candy headphones. California is very pretty actually. Clear blue skies and green scenery everywhere.
Since I am moving towns, having a new clean slate. I should make my life more interesting. Back in Warlington, my life has been normal. Nothing unusual happened. Thinking through what I should be in Ocean View Highschool, I made a decision. To be the baddest girl in the school.
Now how am I going to do that? I'll worry about that later. Smiling about my new goal, I can't wait what Blaze can do!
