Sebastian Vettel.
Thank you.
I, Uniquexus, remember the first race I have ever watched like it was yesterday. I remember asking my stepbrother who it was and I never forget who it was. That was back in 2013. Ever since that moment, he became my favourite driver and the reason why I started to watch F1. He became my childhood hero, my inspiration. I remember opening my German book in German class and saying to my friend: "That's Sebastian Vettel!" My teacher picked it up and called me the F1 fan of the school. Or when I went to college and found new F1 friends because I wanted to share my opinion about Canada 2019. I could go on and on about Seb, but all I want to say is: danke Seb. 🫶
curvaparabolica : There's no one like Sebastian Vettel and he continued to prove that race after race. He found his four titles at Red Bull, crushed records in his career, and above all remained an amazing human being. The Weltmeister, the four-time world champion, who will continue to inspire. Thanks for the memories ♥️
The past
A group of people entered the club. The place was already filled with people. Of course, it would be. It was the evening after the Grand Prix in Monaco. After Charles was finished with his job at the debrief, the group went to a nice restaurant to celebrate a race finish, Charles said. The dinner was with close friends and family. And to top the evening off, they were going out to one of Charles' favourite clubs. The people who wanted to go home after the dinner, went home. And the others who wanted to go out, were going to a club.
The group of ten people were standing around one of the VIP tables.
Mateo put his hand on Liliana's lower back and moved closer to her ear. "What do you want?" He was raising his voice, trying to be understanding with the loud music.
She looked around. "What is everybody getting?!"
"An own drink. The second round is for shots!"
One culture shock Liliana had since she moved to Monaco almost a year ago, was the way people would go out. Perhaps it was because of the people she was friends with, but she considered this to go out in a classy way. Usually, she would go out, drink beer, and take a shot now and then. This was a classy way to go out.
"Uh..." Now she had to say something. "Cuba Libre!"
"Perfect! Be right back!"
Someone tapped on Liliana's shoulder. It made her turn around. "Hey!"
"Girl!" Grace yelled. They both were cheering now.
Grace was a mutual friend of Liliana and Sylvie. Grace was a classmate of Liliana (basically the only person in the entire year who would work hard during projects. She and Liliana were good friends because of that - since Liliana would work hard during projects as well). Grace was friends with Sylvie because they are up together as neighbours.
Mateo came back with their drinks, Grace went to Sylvie and Charles to say hi and the party started.
"To Charles!"
"To Charles!" Everybody repeated and raised their drinks in the air.
"To my race finish in Monaco!" Charles snorted.
"Just as good!"
After a while, the round with shots arrived at the table and it was an evening to remember.
⚓️
A laugh rolled over Liliana's lips when Grace said something, but managed to screw it up by getting confused by herself. Her eyes fell over Grace's shoulder when she noticed some sparkles. She was curious to see to whom it would go, but then realised this club was filled with racing drivers who always had to celebrate something. However, Grace's body wasn't reacting to it but her eyes, on the other hand, had a sparkle of excitement in them. Liliana looked around; people were coming closer and all looking at Charles, waiting for something. The music was slightly turned down.
