Harry's POV

I woke up to the sound of scratching on my front door. I groaned and looked at the clock. It was only 5 in the morning.

I got comfortable again and hoped the scratching would stop, but it never did.

"Screw it," I whispered, climbing out of bed and walking out of the bedroom to get to the front door.

I opened it and looked around.

Nothing.

I sighed, and as I was about to close the door, I heard a small meow.

I looked down and saw a little kitten that was a light brown color with little brown ears that were perked up on its head and a little brown tail that was swaying behind it.

I cooed. I really did have a soft spot for kittens.

"What are you doing out here, little guy?" I said, scooping the kitten up. It snuggled into my chest as I brought it into my house and shut the front door.

I could tell from the start that this kitten was special, and I wasn't planning on giving it up any time soon.

Louis' POV

I was tired of going from house to house each night, scratching on people's doors only to be shooed out of their front yard.

"Stray cats can hurt you!"

"Never touch a stray cat!"

"They're disgusting and dirty!"

These were just some of the things that people said about me when they saw me on their porch. This was the first night that I didn't have to stay out in the freezing London air, and I was grateful.

I meowed as the man climbed into his bed. The floor wasn't very comfortable to sleep on, but it was better than sleeping in dirt.

"Oh, right! We have to get you cleaned up!" the man said as he face palmed. I cringed. Cats aren't very fond of water.

He walked over to the bathroom and began running the bath water. I hid under the bed.

"Where are you kitten?" he yelled. I meowed to let him know where I was.

He looked under the bed and sighed when he saw me.

"I should've remembered that cats don't like water. Come on, I won't get anything in your ears. I just want to clean you up," he smiled. I hesitantly crawled out from underneath the bed over to the man. I had yet to know his name, but I knew that I would find out later.

I woke up early a few hours later and I saw the man sleeping beside me. I smiled, he was really beautiful.

I bounced off the bed and ran to the kitchen to get myself a bowl of water. Since it was impossible to do this in my cat form. I quickly shifted into my human form. My ears and tail remained, as usual.

I grabbed a bowl from the cupboard- knowing where it was since I saw the man take one out last night- and poured myself some milk.

I heard footsteps and I quickly shifted back into my cat form. My human finger was just disappearing when the man took a look at me. Sadly, it didn't disappear quickly enough.

"What's that?" he asked, pointing down at my paw. I knew what he was talking about. I sighed, but it came out as more of a purr.

"You're not a cat, are you?" he went on. I hung my head and nodded. "So if you're not a cat, then what are you?"
