For so long I've suffered pain,
I have endured and survived with much to gain.
Over the years I lived with disdain,
Relishing the moments that have caused me to cry under the rain.
Even as I grew strong and the suffering had gone,
Leniently, I knew that the challenge isn't done.
Like all those battles I've fought and won,
A great effort is what I'll give until our hearts are one.
