The creepy silence of the void is always present. Geno is exhausted from all the trials, and yet they're as close to being free as before.
CHR: Gaster, when are you going to find that exit? It feels like we've been here for weeks! GST: Patience, Chara, try not to think about the time too much or else you'll go insane. CHR: I'm suprised you aren't. How long have you been down here? GST: I suppose you could say I fell down in the year 201X, and for how long I've been down here, I don't know the exact time. CHR: You've been down here for more then a hundred years?! GST: Has it been that long? It seems like just last week I was feeding sans when he was a baby. CHR: Are you sure you'll be okay with all the stuff that has changed on the surface? GST: Before we fused, I doubt it, but now I stand a chance of not disintegrating as soon as I walk out. CHR: You'll die but I won't? GST: You've only been here for a bit so your soul still hasn't been affected by the void. CHR: *phew* I'm glad. GST: Anyways, we should be getting back to work. CHR: Alri- ???: Hey! GNO: Who's there?! ???: Have you just fallen down? GNO: Umm yeah. Who are you? ???: My name is Monster Kane, but you can call me MK for short. GST: What?! Kane?! CHR: You know him? GST: He was one of my assistants who fell down along me... but he looks different. GNO: Kane, huh? Nice name. MKN: Thanks. If you like it then so do the others. GNO: I don't follow. MKN: I named my son monster kid but... GNO: What happened? MKN: This accident happened and I never saw him again. He never saw me either. GNO: I'm sorry for you. MKN: It's okay. I've learned to accept my new home. I'm lucky to have other people beside me. GNO: Other people? You mean there's more? MKN: Yeah! We set up a home in case someone likr you fell down! GNO: Can you take me there? MKN: Of course! Follow me!
Kane shows the way to the settlement. When Geno arrives, there are other people there, just like Geno. Lifeless vessels whose emotions stripped away, bearing no color, as if they're black and white.
MKN: Everyone! I've brought someone new! ALL: Welcome! GNO: Nice to meet everyone. My name is Geno and I've just fallen in. SPT: Pleased to meet you, Geno. My name is Spector and I'm the mind of the bunch. PLN: I'm Plint! And I'm- TRS: Annoying. PLN: Hey! I'm not annoying! SPT: Sorry for those two. They're... energetic. The other guy is Truss. GNO: I can see that.
Kane shows Geno around the settlement.
GST: Chara! CHR: What is it? GST: Everyone here are my coworkers! CHR: And? GST: They must know something about the exit. CHR: So we're just going to ask them outright? GST: Pass control over to me. CHR: *grunt* Fine.
After the tour, everyone is gathered around the campfire in the middle. It's off but it makes for an ambience. Geno stands up.
GNO: Alright everyone. I have something to say. ALL: We're all ears. GNO: I am not who you think we are. MKN: We? GNO: That's right. I'm two people fused into one. Teo souls connected to form a single body. SPT: So who are you both?
