As the woods has started to come to silence by the rising moon, the birds started heading back to their nests as the moon had started to rise to from the mountains and the faint golden of the sun could hardly be seen in the evening sky. The sun was low, and the sky was on fire with a blazing sunset and into a calming twilight.
But watching all of this was a tall and slender girl watching it all from the branch of the tree and she was revealed as the sunlight shone down on her. Her long, wavy light golden caramel hair went over her shoulders. Her ocean blue eyes sparkled with curiosity and an adventurous spirit. Her fair skin is lightly tanned from her time in the sun. She was wearing a dark green tunic with a leather brown vest, tightly fitted at the top with a row of buttons down one side and a flared two-toned skirt, along with a pair of dark grayish-blue leggings and dark brown boots. Though, her only accessory is a single pendant with the carved symbol of a four-pointed star within an unclosed circle.
Her name is Diana.
She remembered the lullaby that her mother had used to sing to her in her room and the books that her mother had used to read to Diana about stories of a magical land full of talking beasts and moving trees, though Diana's favorite story was about a royal lion and four leaders who protects the land of Narnia throughout the years.
She remembered lying partly awake night after night, watching her mother work on the other side of the room. Lit by a single lamp, she would sharpened her traveling knives, study maps and books, or study and extract plants to make her potions. But every time she sees Diana, her expression softens and gives a gentle kiss on Diana's forehead before bidding her goodnight and watching her fall asleep.
Diana jumped off the tree branch and headed towards a grassy field. She started searching for her horse when she heard a familiar, shrill whinny. At first, Diana flinched sensitively of the sound, but she smiled at the sight of the Mare. Her eyes were so mild. Amber like the sky of the dawn. She seemed to be studying her, as though she could see straight through the girl.
She smirked as she walked towards the mare and placed the riding equipment on the stall. She is an elegant golden palomino with a flaxen mane and tail. Though, she has a white lightning-shaped blaze and four white socks. But strapped onto her back was a black saddle and bridle with no noseband, underneath the saddle was a beige riding blanket.
"Hey Aurora." The mare whinnied to Diana. "Ready for a ride?"
A pair of hooves splashed through a puddle and the eager sound of laughter was heard. Galloping into the depths of the forest was Diana riding on Aurora racing through the forest. A little cluster of light rain clouds had passed through the evening, dampening the ground and filling the air with the scent of fresh rain. The distant mountains were delicately sprinkled with the fading mist from the rain, like faint white frosting on cake slices.
They were running together, as though they're one in the same. Diana felt the wind whooshed through her. She was intensely aware of Aurora's movements underneath her. She felt herself smiling and Aurora let out a loud whinny. Diana raised herself up slightly as the grassy ground disappeared underneath them for a bit. Aurora had leapt over a log. She felt her hair flowed behind her and her stomach lurched. She almost felt as if she and the mare were both flying. She tightened her grip on the reins and Aurora slowed down for a moment, long enough for her to regain her balance again and calm down her excitement. Diana took a deep breath, calming herself down and nodded to Aurora, who nickered softly with an excited look and they continued the ride.
It wasn't long till she rode Aurora into the nearby forest. A dense forest with colorful birds fluttering amongst the towering trees, stretched far to the east. Sunbeams cascaded out of the forest and over the meadows. In the distance, the trees almost seemed like an orchard that was planted long ago. To her left, a dense forest stretched out unbroken, except the paths made by the deer and other woodland critters. She both saw a slender deer trail, winding like an endless and waterless stream along the forest floor.
She galloped onto the trails that carried them even farther away from the regular trail. The winding paths were flanked by grassy green hills, and Diana could barely make out the sky and hardly any sunlight dappled the forest floor as they continued the ride.
The wind in Diana's face was in the same rhythm with Aurora's steady and quick breathing. Suddenly, in the middle of the deepest part of the woods, a clearing carpeted with soft grass had opened up. The clearing was bathed in a warm, golden sunlight. There was a slightly bent tree with branches going over a huge, flat stone.
Diana raised herself up slightly as the grassy ground disappeared underneath them for a bit. Aurora had leapt over a stone. She felt her hair flowed behind her and her stomach lurched. She almost felt as if she and the mare were both flying before they landed on the field.

By nightfall, a group of Centaurs could be seen as they entered the clear, grassy fields to gaze up at the starry night sky and see what it was in store for Narnia. But the Centaurs aren't the only ones who have entered the field, Diana could be seen as she rode on Aurora with her adoptive Centaur family as they joined the other Centaurs to stargaze and see what Narnia has in store for them.
Diana has been found in abandoned cottage by the Old Narnians when she was extremely young. Glemstorm and Windmane raised Diana along with Rainstone, Ironhoof, and Suncloud as their sole daughter. They have taught her how to navigate the forest, how to camp, how to make a fire, how to horseback ride, how to do archery, how to recognize herbs, and know about the great Golden Age of Narnia as well as Aslan and the Four Sovereign Rulers of Narnia. She enjoys stargazing with them and learning the hidden meanings behind those stars.
When the moon slowly rose in the place of honor on the darkening indigo backdrop, the stars around it had deviated drastically from the night before. Prominent constellations moved in a wide arc parallel to the moon's path, while the lesser ones framed them intermittently. The other stars seemed to be swirling playfully through the sky.
One by one, the gathered group of Centaurs had started to gaze up at the starry night sky. Many of them had folded their legs underneath them and laid down on the grass. Though, a few served as scouts and some remained standing on the top of the nearby hills to see the stars.
After she had dismounted her Mare, Diana was standing next to Aurora, softly talking to her before giving her neck a pat and leaving her to her grazing. Diana soon joined her Centaur family, her eyes on the stars, longing to explore the world of Narnia. But she quickly came back to earth and joined her Centaur family. Rainstone smiled softly at Diana as she joined them, and let her lean against his dark bay flank. He cared for her like an older brother would for a younger sister, as did Ironhoof and Suncloud.
She nodded to him with a smile before she raised her eyes up to the starry night sky. But the longer she gazed up at the starry night sky, she didn't have trouble noticing two stars that hung rather low in the southern sky, almost as bright as two little moons and very close together. Diana was stunned to seeing such bright stars, and she immediately recognized them both.
"The great lords of the upper sky know the steps of their dance too well," murmured Glenstorm, who took notice of the two stars in the starry night sky. "Their meeting is formate and means some great good for Narnia. Tarva, the Lord of Victory, salutes Alambil, the Lady of Peace. They are coming to their nearest."
Diana gave an uncertain look to Rainstone, who understood what their father was saying about the two stars. "He means that our wishes are about to come true."
"You mean Narnia will be returned to us?" Diana asked him softly, but hopefully.
But just before Rainstone could reply to Diana's question, the peace and quiet that was once in the small meadow had disappeared. They all heard a horn being blown through the woods: it was sharp, clear, and valiant.
"Skies above!" Diana and the once laid down Centaurs gotten up while Aurora joined her rider and they all looked around, on high alert. "What was that?" She looked at the dark, mysterious woods warily and then up at the two bright stars in the night sky.
But as Diana continued gazing up at the two stars, she was immediately surrounded by the colors of the inside nighttime castle. It felt so unreal and magical at the same time, Diana finally realized that she was surrounded by some misty clouds around her.
As she looked around, Diana saw some Telmarine soldiers quietly entering a room, with armed crossbows in their hands. They quietly pointed their crossbows at the bed, the falcon there was watching fearfully.
They're attempting to assassinate the Prince! Diana was horrified at the sight as the Telmarine soldiers shot arrows, causing the falcon to cry out and flapping its wings in a panic. But Diana didn't see any sign of an injured person or blood staining the bed. There was just was an explosion of white feathers from the destroyed pillows.
She soon ended up in the courtyard somehow. Diana saw a familiar teenage Telmarine Prince riding away on a black horse from the castle and into the woods, a bunch of Telmarine soldiers hot on his trail all the way into the woods.
Her startling awakening caused her to jolt awake from her gaze on the two stars. Confused and stunned, Diana shook her head and gazed at her Centaur family. "We're about to have a Telmarine Prince coming to the woods."
