Kaede pov :
we were walking around the deserted building trying to find food supplies before the zombies came in

' find anything Shuichi' I say looking at him
' No I haven't yet,' he replied back
'Have you'
' nothing either . come on let's go to the next room! ' I say whilst grabbing his hand and taking him to the next room

We entered to what looked like an untouched kitchen
' bingo ! Look what we have here' I tighten my grip in excitement
' yeah kaede' he said as he was covering his face with his cap
' oh , I'm sorry ' I say letting go off him
' oh no it's fine' he confronted me
' come on the let's go and get the food supplies' i say walking towards the fridge opening it choosing the better looking food

As I was doing that it's been awfully quiet and occasionally Shuichi talking to him self and then heavy breathing I turn around and I couldn't believe it

' Shuichi ?' I say crawling back as a saw the big scar on him Shuichi can't you remember me , it's me Kaede'
He didn't reply instead he just glared at me and started to walk towards me I started to panic and pointed my gun at him
' I don't want to hurt you ' I cried out whilst crawling back him but taht didn't stop him  he kept on getting closer trying to bite me

I stood up so incase I could just run but I couldn't just leave him like that  I need to help him but first I need him to remember me  so I started to tell him the memories we had together and nothing

I tried multiple different ways but still nothing ,
' don't you recognise me ' I yelled whilst some tears falling
And again nothing
Ok, what would Shuichi do in this situation I thought to my self whilst trying to avoid getting bitten by him which was quite difficult

then I realised throughout my relationship with him during the apocalypse and even before that he was the kind of guy who was an introvert but liked having physical affection like how we always hug whilst watching movies or hold hands whilst walking

This has to be it but what if I get bitten ? I know this is a huge risk but I'll do anything for him to me even if it's for me to get bitten

So I tried to go behind him and I
Gave him an hug from behind making sure he wasn't able to bite me and then I just felt that he felt a bit more relaxed and he wasn't trying to bite me or anything
' has it worked ?' I thought looking at him and he looked at me like he used to before . So I went and gave him a hug from the front and he seemed to enjoy it not trying to bite me or get me off but he wasn't hugging me either

' Shuichi ?' I questioned whilst I pull back to look at him even tho I know he isn't know how to speak I can see that  he knows who I am
' oh Shuichi' I hug him back ' I'll find a cure for this' I say holding his hand ' I promise' and I gently led him out of the deserted area

even though it won't be the same as before and might be a bit harder but I won't give up and I'll keep my promise even if you try to bite me .
