"You take care of yourself, promise me that?" Porsche seemed more stressed than ever.
Chay hugged his big brother again. He knew how much trouble he had. Porchay backed away, patted his brother's shoulders, and threw his bag over his right shoulder, before leaving.
It was strange, every corner of the campus reminded him of a memory with Macau. The tree under which they had taken a nap, this wall on which they had pissed... This table on which they were studying like crazy five minutes before the exam...
He felt his feelings overwhelm him and his breathing quickened.
Porchay frantically reached for his phone, put on his headphones, and turned the volume up all the way.
Out of the corner of his eye, Porchay saw the gymnasium doors open, and he noticed his soccer coach, the latter seemed livid, almost absent, he wasn't even yelling at the lazy students...
"Eh..." someone tapped him on the shoulder and Porchay turned around calmly.
"Oh...Hello, P'Pink."
The young woman had a sad smile, she showed a small bag of French cake and offered it to Chay.
"Here, food warms the heart!"
"Thanks..."
The young boy thanked her, his gaze a little troubled, and he left for his first lesson. The hour seemed long to him, he spent all his time drawing on a sheet of paper, ignoring the pained gaze of the other students or the mocking ones of the more cruel assholes...
The teacher asked to see Chay at the end of the lesson, gently, she gave him all the complete written lessons and reassured him:
"You have good grades, despite this long absence, you will be fine, I believe in your skills!"
"Thanks."
Porchay spent his day thanking those who said a kind word to him, without really feeling anything, it was as if his heart had frozen. Now, he preferred to ignore what he felt and on the one hand, he understood Kimhan better. Running away from the feelings that were destroying us was ultimately sometimes the answer.
"Hi Nong Chay!" His senior Boat approached him, he slid his arm friendly around Chay's neck but Chay pushed him away immediately. "Wow...are you okay?"
Porchay rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. Nodding, he wanted to leave quickly, but that damn Boat wasn't going to leave him alone.
"I'm having a party tomorrow, you can come, I think it'll change your mind, I still have my little black pills..."
Chay frowned, what was he talking about...Oh.
"No thanks P'Boat, I'm trying to keep my mind steady..."
The man arched an eyebrow then he shrugged and left.
A voice behind Porchay startled him.
''It's good, you learned the lesson.''
Porchay turned around, he saw Kim standing against a tree, his gaze following P'Boat's back who was leaving. He clenched his jaw and arched an eyebrow.
"Not him though.."
"Why? He owes your family a debt too?" asked Porchay, frowning, before putting on one of his headphones.
But Kim stood in front of him, they were about the same size, and Chay looked away, he had dark circles and his hair was messy... He really wasn't ready to face the gaze of the living god Kimhan Theerapanyakul.
He sighed, and bit his lip, he knew this damn encounter had to happen sooner or later.
"Why are you avoiding me?" Kim asked sharply, glaring at him angrily. ''Can't we talk ? Are you afraid of me ? I remember that I saved your ass from the coach last time and took you to the hospital.."
Porchay looked at Kimhan with a smirk, what a joke! He was so outraged he almost felt like laughing.
"Are you expecting a thank you? Oh thank you Grandmaster Kimhan for saving and helping me. Are you satisfied or should I get on my knees?"
Kim crossed his arms, he rolled his eyes, but his body prevented Porchay from leaving. One word from him and he knew he could pierce Chay's shield. He saw how much the boy was in pain, no matter how he behaved, his eyes betrayed him.
Kimhan approached Porchay and the latter took two steps back, glaring at Kim:
"Don't come near me."
Kim arched an eyebrow, a cruel smile on his lips:
"Do you think that was Macau's last words too before someone pushed him off the roof?"
Ouch.
Chay's heart ached immediately.
He felt his legs tremble.
His throat tightened and his nose stung.
His lips quivered and his voice weakened:
"What....You..said...?"
Kimhan put his hands in his pockets, his gaze had darkened, but his cruel smile never left his lips.
How could such a beautiful person hide such a bad personality?
Porchay wanted to vomit, he closed his eyes for a moment and cleared his throat:
"What do you want? Get out."
"Nothing at all...Just to know how are you? You know ? Since my dear cousin died, I was thinking of asking you how the funeral went huh...You know, it's a shame, I didn't have a chance to see you that day.. Ahhhh yes, my family was not invited."
"Wh-a-..a..t ? You..your family?? Fuck you !"
Porchay trembled with anger, he felt himself changing. He wanted to kill Kimhan. But that asshole knew exactly what he was doing. He was taunting Porchay for his amusement.
"Get out of my way!" Porchay roared.
"No." Kim even pushed Porchay against the tree. "Tell me, what do you think he felt when he saw the void? We should climb that tree, maybe we'll get an idea...?"
Porchay shivered, feeling his heart beat painfully, his chest heaving rapidly, and he swallowed hard. He lowered his head, feeling a huge headache compress his brain and Porchay gasped. Kimhan approached him, he placed Chay's head on his shoulder and let his warm hand in his hair.
"Please...Shut up...Shut up..." Porchay whispered, his voice cracking. "No more...Please..."
Kim took a deep breath, his own eyes were wet. He needed to be tough on his Nong...because Porchay needed it.
"Porchay... It's over."
"No...No..NO !..." Chay began to sob, unable to contain his grief any longer, and he collapsed against Kimhan, finally crying.
Kimhan's arms wrapped around Porchay, who was still shaking from crying, and there he was hugging the boy.
He knew Porchay would be too proud to cry... He needed to be stimulated, and finally... Finally Chay's mourning began.
Kim kissed Porchay's forehead and his thumbs brushed his moist cheeks.
"I'm here, hush...You can cry, now. Don't hold it, cry..." Kim whispered.
"P'Kim..." Porchay whined.
It started to rain, and the rain helped Porchay shed all his tears.
