"why are we here?" gwen questioned, annoyed.
"we have to talk." finney explained. "all of us."
"why? there's nothing to talk about."
"there is. just listen."
vance rolled his eyes.
i sighed.
then, i began my rant.
i told them everything.
every single detail, from the beginning of 5th grade, to now.
i made sure to leave everything in.
the original love letter. the suspension. the insecurity. every mistake and misunderstanding.
the stupid, petty hatred i let cloud my judgement.
the way that finney changed me, and i regretted the bet after seeing the way he smiled when he spoke to me.
how i knew i fucked up and didn't know how to fix it.
and, finally, how finney chose to forgive me.
