CHAPTER 2: A Wet Welcome Gift

I'm not a morning kind of person. Thus, waking up early pisses me off. It's not really my thing.

But since today is my first day in University, I need not to baby this want to sprawl longer on my bed. Instead, I hurriedly took my bath, and then changed into this dark-blue long-sleeved dress and white 2-inched wedge.

"I heard he really is broken from what happened during the graduation ceremony."

"Who wouldn't?! Hindi lang naman kasi siya napahiya, nabigo siya!"

"Right. But I just wish kay Morris na lang nangyari 'yun. He's the worst anyway."

These are the things I first heard upon sitting next to these two lovely girls. Tss. Hindi ba sila makapag move-on sa gulong dala ng high school life nila?

From: Yema

hey! u're der alrdy?

To: Yema

yup. lez meet aftr this.

From: Yema

syooor! take care sizums :*

I smiled at myself after reading her response.

I studied the place I'm currently at right now.

This is a big cold hall, which I'm pretty sure, can hold thousands of students for varied purposes. Just like now, they are using this hall to orient us, freshies, regarding the rules other policies of the University.

"You all know that we have two different campuses located at almost 12 kilometers away from each other. First and main campus, housing the courses under science. And the second campus housing the courses under arts. So for today, we expect you to be divided into your specific category and group yourselves accordingly. This is for faster dissemination and orientation about rules and regulations." Sounds of sigh, frustration, and excitement erupted from the crowd as the University's Vice President announced today's agenda.

I, without any hesitation, stood up and evacuate my place to look for some familiar faces I saw last month during enrolment.

My course falls under Arts so I went to the groups of students making noises, calling everyone's attention just to let people know that they'll be staying on the second campus. Hence, I joined my future hopefully comrades.

"No I.D., No Entry."

"Wear your college uniform, the white long-sleeves and gray and blue checkered skirt, every Monday and Wednesday with your black closed-shoes."

I'm hastily typing these basic rules on my phone's notes when a messaged from Yema popped.

To: Yema

u're done? come, i'll introduce you to my friends.

Instead of typing a quick reply, I closed her message and resumed on my paused-activity a while back

"During Tuesdays, you'll wear your college's or organization's shirt. While our University shirt will be used during Thursdays. And since classes are just half-day during Fridays, you are allowed to come on civilian. Any question?"
