Understand me || Donnie au story

The plan

Bang! A piece of metal from a bright red car lands on the ground. Donnie, his brothers and April are at Repo Mantis' Salvage because Repo Mantis had somehow found a way to get money that just had to include a fight with him and his brothers. 

Leo grunts as he is thrown to the ground by a crane, luckily landing on his shell. Raph runs in and manages to throw a punch before also being thrown onto his shell. Before Mikey goes in, Donnie sees a perfect chance for his newest invention. He pulls it out and begins to start it up, but before it can start up fully Raph stops him and struggles to say "Donnie, dont!! You will hurt too many bystanders!!" Donnie just rolls his eyes and charges in with his Tech-Bo. 

After the fight Donnie and his brothers are heading home, rooftop to rooftop. Donnie is alone with his thoughts, just blocking his brothers out. Normally his thoughts after a fight are something like 'Why did Leo do that' or 'God damnit Leo, you messed me up'. But today's thoughts were different.. They went like 'They dont understand me' 'Raph didn't even know what it would do..' 'do they all just think i want to hurt people?'.

Next thing he knows, his thoughts led him to split up from his brothers and go to a certain someone that he thought would understand him. That someone was, unfortunately, Baron Draxum. He hated that Draxum would be the only one to understand him, but he would take it anyway, as long as he could talk to someone. Someone who would understand him. 

When he got about halfway to the hidden city he stopped for a minute to re-think his decision. He decided to plan it more before charging in. When he was heading back he thought of what he would say as an excuse as to why he was out for a while. He settled on saying that he just needed some fresh air, he said that alot so his brothers were fine with it.

Lifting up the manhole cover, his brothers were at the bottom, waiting for him. He was not sure why but he was ready to answer anything they might ask. When he reached the bottom of the weirdly long ladder he was met by his brothers asking "Where were you?". "I just needed some air.." Donnie answered as he walked straight to his lab.

After about an hour he had finally decided that Draxum was his only option. He crossed off The Purple Dragons, they would take all his tech. And no way in the world would he choose Hypno, he uses magic. But Draxum might actually listen to him, and he found that Draxum Was most like him tech-wise. So that's what he settled on. but now he just had to find a way to explain to Draxum what he's doing. Was he just going to barge in? what was he going to say if he did? He had no idea what to say but he couldn't just walk up his brothers and ask 'Hey what can I say to Draxum because I want to talk to him'. He was stuck on what do do there so he decided he would just improvise it.

Eventually his detector went off, implying that there was a villian loose.. again.. At least this time he had a plan to go to Draxums..

When they arrived at the scene, it just so happened to be Hypno, and that one worm.. wait what was his name again? oh well it doesn't matter. But once again, one of Donnies inventions got shut off by Raph for the exact same reason. "Donnie! stop! we don't want to hurt other pedestrians!" Raph explained. Donnie turns to Raph "is that all you think of me?". Raph looks confused "What do you mean?". "it seems that no matter what invention I make, you never let me use it. even though you don't even know what it does" Donnie said bitterly. Raph panics "N..no that's not what I meant Donnie.. you know that..". "That what do you mean?!" Donnies voice angered. Raph struggles to find words to say. "Got nothing to say huh? Jeez, and here I was, thinking that you actually cared about my tech" Donnie shook his head and started walking off. "WAIT DONNIE!" He heard Mikey shout but Donnie just ignored him and continued walking off.

He didn't mean to lash out at Raph like that, but he did it anyway. It felt kind of relieving in a way, explaining how he felt towards Raph. 'Maybe going with Draxum is going to be a good idea' He thought.

Eventually he makes it to the hidden city, still thinking about what happened with Raph. He made it to Draxums lab and decided to just wander in, I mean he literally has giant double doors and yet still keeps his doors open for some reason? Nevermind, at least he can just walk in. as he walks in Huginn and Muninn are at the entrance. "Hey, your one of them turtles that Draxum keeps looking for" Muninn says. Huginn replies "oh yeah, he is". Donnie looks around to find Draxum, not caring about the two gargoyles taking to him. Until they fly in front of his face that is. "Oi, what do you want?" Huginn asks. "I want to see Draxum" Donnie says blankly, while pushing Huginn out of his face. Donnie continues walking in before Muninn also flies in front of his face, "Why do you want to see him?". Huginn backs him up "Yeah, this is odd". Donnie rolls his eyes and says "it's none of your business, I just want to talk to him". The two red-eyes gargoyles move out of the way in slight fear due to the way donnie said that sentence so expressionless.

Donnie continues walking in until he sees Draxum walk in, Huginn and Muninn must have somehow told Draxum that he was there, but he didn't mind. If anything went wrong Donnie knew how to fight and he could just leave. Draxum walks up to Donnie but keeps his distance. "What do you want?" Draxum asks. "I want to talk to you" Donnie answers swiftly. "Hmm.. okay then, but leave tour weapon with Huginn and Muninn". Donnie does as he asks and walks into a small room with Draxum. "This is odd whenever you show up its normally with your brothers, and you normally want to fight. what do you want?" Draxum asks curiously. "Well, my brothers don't understand me and I wanted to potentially work with you". Draxum face flashes with shock than joy "Really?!". Donnie looks confused, "Well yeah, are you really that happy about it?". Draxum replies with "Yes of course! I've wanted one of you turtles to work with me for a long time!!". Donnie just stares at him and then explains "I can't stay here all the time though, I have to go back to the lair or else my brothers will get suspicious. So I can just visit if that's okay". Draxum still looked happy "yes yes, that's okay". "Okay then, I should probably get going" Donnie said. "Yep, see you soon!" Draxum said excitedly as Donnie left.

When Donnie got back to the lair nobody was waiting for him so he just went straight to his lab. He started working on a new invention, however this time not to Impress his brothers but to impress Draxum...
