Backstory: In Fates Greg grew up with his mother his father passed away he was trained by his mother to learn about sword skills and learned discipline to be a warrior for Nohr. When Corrin/Kamui picks a side he goes to Corrin/Kamui being loyal to them to the very end to reach the goal to end the war. Three Houses backstory: In three houses Greg was a street rat that becomes a thief stealing from rich and markets for gold or food. He lived at streets of the Adrestian Empire with a few friends. During a mission Greg stopped after he heard singing from a "Mystical Songstress" that entrance him as he loved her voice. He stole her lyrics when a rival singers wanted Dorothea and Manuela's lyrics. Before he was going to give it to them he had a change of heart and return the lyrics to Dorothea and Manuela they decided not to turn him in. With the gold he save he join the Officers Academy becoming a member of the Blue Lions befriended the entire household.
