Why was I stupid? Because I looked at the painting of the little frowning girl.Soon my family would die.
Alyssa ran towards me with such great speed, I hardly knew where she came from.
"Mamí!" She cried. I looked down at her from my throne.
"Sí?" I asked in my sweetest voice.
"Papá said Hermaño cannot attend the Fiesta. Is it true?" I looked at her in confusion.
"Who is Hermaño, Alyssa?" She stared at me with wide eyes.
"From the old house, Mamí. Don't you remember?" I looked up and saw something run across the hall. I paused and looked back down at Alyssa.
"Is Papá home?" I ask quickly.
"Sí, Mamí." I stand up quickly and rush down the steps of my throne.
"ALEXANDER?!" I shout.
"Is something wrong?" Alyssa asks. I turn around and stare at her. I get onto my knees and hold her hands in mine.
"Alyssa. Go play outside. Everything will be alright." Just then a crash from upstairs appears. I look up. "Go play."
Crash.
I push Alyssa out of the house. After she's out I rush upstairs.
I reach the top of the stairs, only to see my husband lying out of a doorway.
Dead...
Now the picture was on the same wall.
