Liam was sitting on his chair behind his table in his office. He was thinking about his recent case, the disappearance of Harry Styles.

He remembered three weeks ago when he got a call from the local police station telling him that a young lady showed up telling them her friend, a 23 year old guy with curly hair and green eyes named Harry Styles had disappeared.

The news was thrilling enough for Liam, but things got worse when he and his team went for an investigation around the cafe. Apparently, Harry freaked out and left the cafe in a hurry after seeing a dark haired customer with brown mysterious eyes, tattoos and a black suit. All of these reminded Liam of someone that he used to know; what if he's related to the case?

It's been a while now and Liam's still thinking about it; the chances were low, but not zero. There was nothing that proved his theory wrong.

He rolled up his sleeve, revealing a tattoo on his right wrist which he got when he was 18:

What if his theory was actually true? What was he going to do then?

There was a knock at the door and Liam pulled his sleeve down as a young police officer entered the room.

-Sir, there is another report of vandalization in 29 St Martin's lane.

-Really? It's the third time this week!

-Yeah. It's so irritating.

Liam paused for a second. Then he looked up at the young officer and said "Peterson, do you think this has anything to do with Harry's disappearance?" Peterson sighed.

-Just let it go sir!

Liam suddenly stood up. "I can't let it go!" He seemed frustrated and angry. "Just because we don't have many clues doesn't mean we have to give up! He is a human being just like the rest of us!"

-I think you're just overthinking.

Peterson mumbled cautiously.

Liam sighed.

"You know what? I'll take care of the vandalization myself." He said. "Are you sure?" Peterson asked, looking unsure. "Yeah." Liam answered. "I might as well find some clues and get fresh air at the same time. Would you take care of the office?"

-Sure. Good luck.

-Thanks.

He took his coat and got out of the building. The weather was cold and it was getting dark.

He walked to St Martin's lane and waited. If the vandalizers wanted to come back, they probably would when it's completely dark and no one is around. Well, at least that's what Liam used to do.

He wandered around for a while, until it was around midnight and the streets were empty.

Liam was still walking around thinking if the vandalizers were ever going to come. He's been there for nearly three hours without doing anything. He was planning to go home, when he heard an engine noise.

He stopped and listened; the noise was super weak so he wasn't sure where it was coming from or whether it was getting closer or further. He was so busy trying to figure it out that he missed the sound of footsteps getting closer to him. But he realized when someone bumped straight into him.

He looked at the person and all he could see was some curly hair and a pair of emerald green eyes, but they were enough to give him goosebumps.

Liam had never felt this thrilled before. If that person really was Harry, a heavy weight would be lifted from Liam's shoulders. He knew it was Harry, but he had to make sure.

-Harry?

Suddenly Harry turned around and started running. Liam couldn't understand; Why was he running away? He didn't know for sure, but he did know that he was not going to let Harry get away before he's got all the answers he was looking for. So he started running after him.

They didn't get so far when Harry tripped over his shoe lace and fell down. Liam's heart was now beating even faster than before. Of course he didn't mean no harm; he just wanted to know what this whole thing is about.

"Harry is that actually you???"

"Let him go Liam."

Liam looked up. It was the voice of a man a bit further in front of him, but he couldn't see the man because it was so dark. Although, his voice was so familiar that Liam didn't even doubt for a second.

"Z... Zayn?"

His voice was barely coming out.

The man walked a bit closer and the lamp post lightened up his face.

He sighed.

"Did you really think Harry was the vandalizer?"

Harry was still on the ground desperately looking at Zayn.

"Well... wait!" Liam was confused. "How do you know about the vandalizers?"

Zayn sighed again.

"Since when did you start arresting people?"

"They are ruining the town!"

"Then why did you used to do it yourself?"

Harry seemed interested in the conversation and hadn't bothered to stand up yet.

Liam opened his mouth to say something, but then he stopped. He tried to find a smashing answer to hit Zayn with, but he gave up. "Why're you here?" He said quietly at last.

Zayn did a little chuckle. "What do you think? I'm here to take you back."

There was a lot of tension in the air. Liam wasn't quite sure what just happened so he had to ask.

"You mean like... getting back to the group?"

"Mm-hm! Think about it! Wouldn't it be great if we could all be together again? Just like the old times!"

"You'd also get a cool suit."

Harry added.

"Yeah that's another bonus."

Liam was shocked. He was expecting anything but this. His emotions and logic were having a big disagreement. The thought of getting back to his old friends seemed so nice and great. Especially Zayn. They used to be partners in crime. Maybe they could be like that again?

He offered his hand out to Harry and helped him get up. Then he looked at Zayn.

"No."

Zayn's smile disappeared quickly.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." Liam's voice was cold. "I made up my mind years ago. Don't even try to change it."

He turned around and walked away. Nothing could change his mind.
