Arcane Adventures: Shadowing Tale of Erebus

Chapter 2

Theos: "Rise and shine."

Erebus: *snoooree*

Theos: "I see. So that's how it is?"
{Theos breaks a nearby coconut, emptying it as he filled the coconut with water}

*SPLASH!*

Erebus: "AGHH! FUCK!! THE SALT WATER!!"

Erebus: "THEOS YOU FUCKER!!"

Theos: "Say, i am getting a bit senile.. pardon me, what is your name?"

Erebus: (Hm.. According to studies if one names a certain individual they grow more attached to one another..) "I have no name."

Theos: "Very well, i shall name you someone who is great in shadow magic, Erebus. That forth shall be your name."

Erebus: (Uhh.. well my name is actually Clark..) "Erebus.. Sounds like a fantastic name!"

Theos: "Thank you, as a child i grew fond with such tales of higher beings than humans. Now, shall we train in the arts of arcane?"

Erebus: "Okay."

Theos: "Imagine you're conjuring darkness itself. Controlling it as if you are the dominion to shadow, grip the shadow firmly, i don't want you to be absorbed by malice, next, compress that darkness and form a ball, then, release your grip from your magic in your imagination."

Erebus: *Closes eyes*
(Hm... controlling shadow... i should spiral this to make it easier..)
{He controls the shadow in his mind then spiraling it into a shaped ball}

Erebus: (Compress!)
{Erebus compresses the shadow ball as he spirals more energy into the ball.}

Erebus: "Grrgh.."

Theos: "Hmm.. i should leave him be, he can take care of it."
*sips coconut milk*
(What? you think I'll waste perfectly good coconuts?!)

Erebus: (Fuck.. this should be enough, then.. release the grip..)
{Erebus releases his projectile of shadow causing...}

Theos: "That was spectacular, but all beginners have mistakes."

Erebus: "Oh? This is amazing! You can also reverse fatigue?!"

Theos: "I honed my phoenix magic. Now try it again, but with a wizard this time."

Erebus: "... Are you asking me to kill?"

Theos: "If you want to, i just need you to incapacitate them."

Erebus: "Fine! I'll only target their legs."

*Theos and Erebus go searching for a Crazy Wizard, they successfully found one.*

Theos: "Remember, i just need you to incapacitate them. Go to high grounding. I'll fly."

Erebus: "Haah.. this guy, why didn't he helped me up?"
*Erebus climbs a moderately tall hill*

Erebus: "Legs.. only legs.."
(Control.. Grip.. Spiral.. Compress!)

Erebus: *Opens eyes* "Woah, a circle.."

Crazy Light Wizard: (This feels off..)

Erebus: "Shit!"
(Release!)
*Erebus hit his legs, the shadow slowly burning off his skin)

Erebus: "ARGH!!" (Unbelievably fast! i cant see shit!)

Erebus: (Controll, grip, compress..)

Crazy Light Wizard: {LIGHT...}

Erebus: "RELEASE!!"

*A loud explosion rumbles the trees..*

Erebus: "Haaagh.. fuck.. fuck you."

???: Hello.

Erebus: (Huh?)

???: Im your arcane, pleasure to meet you Samael, the fallen.

Samael: (Don't call me that.)

Samael: (Show me your physical form.)

???: As you wish.
*??? Transforms into a child of darkness*

Samael: (Hm, why am i transported into this unkown world? Is this a new type of banishment from the human realm?)

???: I have no answers to such. I am but your arcane, master.

Samael: (Who were you in the past? Did you inhabit other bodies?)

???: I was a great king, capable of ruling seas. A genius in arts of magic. Until, i got engulfed with darkness trying to go beyond mastery.. until unfortunately i had succumbed to the shadows and became an arcane. Some call me a tyrant, while others call me "Cruel Striker" or sometimes "Lightning", and yes, master, I have indeed inhabited other bodies.

Samael: (What is it do you seek in my body?)

Cruel Striker: Potential, your highness.
