Chapter 2

I can't even think straight. I'll be humiliated.

"I'm sorry daughter but you have to go through that test, Yes.  I have the right to say no to your proprietress but I won't because I don't want those little whispers". Mum let out.

" Mum. This is rubbish. Someone is questioning your daughter's character and your upbringing". I hissed.

Mum is annoying. The driver was already waiting so I picked up my bag and headed downstairs and to the car.

I reached the school exactly when the assembly ended. I entered the assembly hall with a frown on my face.

"Come here". The assembly master called.

" Me?". I raised a brow.

"Maimuna Usman". He called my full name.

I walked up to the stage where the proprietress and other teachers were standing. Mrs. Veronica walked forward to me.

"We will have a virginity test done today on this girl". She said.

I looked at her. This woman has gone nuts. In front of the school. Why is she doing this?

"I will not stand here and my school is falling. We found a rubber protection in the school. She and her boyfriend are the suspects". She looked at me. I eyed her. "We will know if she is guilty or not after the test And to anyone who is thinking of doing this rubbish in my school I won't just punish but send you out of my school". She said.

This woman is mad. I came down from the stage and left the hall.

I can't find the Loml. I need to cry on his shoulders. I looked for him around the school since he was not on the assembly ground.

I sighted him from afar holding Mary's hand as he was resting his back on the wall and they were happily talking.

I removed one leg of my shoe and threw it at her. I targeted her head and it got her there.

"Are you okay?". He asked Mary.

" You are mad". I walked to them.

"I'm not mad". She hissed.

" You still have a mouth to talk. I picked up my shoes.

Jabir held my hands. "It's okay. I know what you are thinking". He laughs.

" I'm now a laughing stock".

"Of course. Mary. See you later". He said to Mary.

He hugged me tighter.

" I know you are going through a hard time. I wasn't doing anything with her. I swear". He kissed my cheek.

"I was humiliated at the assembly today". I started crying.

" What happened?". He raised my face to his gaze.

"She told everyone about the test". I sobbed.

" No moon. Please stop crying". He hugged me tighter.

"The doctor is here". The secretary said.

" I'm not coming". I shouted.

"Sshhh. He shunned me. " We are coming". He said to her. She left."Moon. We have to go. Let's do this".

My face is swollen. He wiped off the tears with the back of his hand.

We walked hand in hand to the school clinic. We entered and sat. I continued hissing as I was feeling pains in my heart.

"Lay on the bed". She said wearing her gloves. 

She did as she was asked.

I sat at the reception with my head resting on Jabir's shoulder.
