This chapter is dedicated to who has always been there for me. for tolerating me through all my dramas. The most awesome thing about her was she wasn't afraid to scold me even if we were in the most heated of fights. Thank you for that!

I loved the dawn. I loved the chilling breeze stifle my skin. I loved the way the sun comes and gives you the first warmth of the day. I loved how the colours changed from dazzling black to light blue.

But most importantly the dawn was the start of a day.

It was the start of second chances.

It was the start of forgiveness.

It was the start of hope.

But I learnt one really important thing long back.

Never to hope.

Never to trust.

Never to care.

Why?

Because I don't want to feel like shit after someone I poured so much of time and so much of care and so much of respect and so much of trust leaves. When they leave it hurts. You're broken. That's why I'm scared to hope, care and trust someone. That's maybe the reason why I'm pretty mean to Oliver. It's just me.

"Hey" I said.

"Hey!" Oliver replied.

"What's up?" I asked.

"I actually.......um....I need a ride to school today". Oliver said hesitantly.

"No." I replied.

"Come on. Today is the math exam too. Please?" I asked.

"Okay fine. I'll be at your house at 7. Don't be late." Oliver said.

It was 6:30 am

I took my keys and put in the ignition.

The car roared to life under my command. Ahh! That felt good- power.

I reached Oliver's house at 6:55. I honked twice. His house's door opened. He was wearing a black shirt with a brown jacket. He slung his bag over his shoulder, issed his mum on the cheek and ran to my car.

"Hey!" Oliver said.

"Hi" I replied.

"All prep done for the exam?" He asked.

"Yeah" I replied.

I waved goodbye to Mrs Grace and speed off. I switched radio stations and came to the conclusion that it was too early for the radio stations to be awake and switched the radio off.

"Do you mind?" Oliver said startling me.

"Huh?" I said.

"Do you mind?" Oliver repeated. I realized that he was actually holding the USB connection to the music system all this time.

"Oh......um.......okay...." I replied. What? You can't blame a girl for being picky with her music.

"Cool." He said.

He connected the USB cord to the music system. And he did something with his phone and music started playing.

As the song started playing. I just realized which song it was.

"That song is....." I said.

Oliver looked at me and smiled. That smile was not a mocking smile. It was a smile of happiness. It was a genuine smile. And he looked so adorable too aniline with his chubby cheeks.

The best singer on earth started singing,

D'you breathe the name

Of your savior in your hour of need

That's carnival of rust...... By Poets Of The Fall" I said.

"Yeah" he smirked.

Okay maybe I don't need to be so mean to Oliver. I smiled to myself.
