Lyra Ame's life had been nothing short of a series of unfortunate events. At twenty years old, she had withdrawn from college, hindered by financial troubles and deteriorating health. Her family was no better-discovering her mother's illicit affairs with younger men had left her shaken and unwell. Facing surgery, Lyra found herself unexpectedly transported to a place that was both familiar and strange.

Transmigrated into the very book she had read during her hospital stay, Lyra now inhabited the body of Gehenna Santi Paradis. Gehenna, despised by many, was known for her savage reputation and unchecked power as the daughter of a high-status duke. Yet, her fatal flaw lay in her unrequited love for the second prince, the story's male lead and next in line to the throne-a love that blinded her to all else.

Despite her fearsome demeanor, Gehenna's one-sided love for the prince was destined to remain unfulfilled, for his heart belonged to another. Enter the female lead, a girl of rare tribal blood from a barren northern land, whose presence was foretold to bring great fortune and prosperity to the kingdom. As the prophecy unfolded, Gehenna's fierce exterior clashed with the burgeoning hope and renewal symbolized by the new heroine.

As Lyra/Gehenna realizes her new-found knowledge of the story could be her greatest weapon. She starts to outmaneuver everyone-nobles, knights, even the female lead-but there's one hitch: the story has mysterious blank spots, areas the book never mentioned. Including the story of the villainess of which she completely believed have always been vile and dangerous. Lyra realizes that the narrative she knew may be far from the truth.
