SILAS EDEN LOVDIN-WALSH ! remembers the day he went from a Lovdin to a Lovdin-Walsh. He had stood in a courtroom, dress pants a size to big, and one leg that was slightly longer than other, which made him lean to his left more.
And he remembers the day he was arrested when he turned thirty. On his thirtieth birthday to be exact. He's a nice person, who makes mistakes every once and awhile. who doesn't make mistakes? It's human nature to mess up. How would we learn if we didn't fuck up every once and awhile.
But back to Silas and his mistake he made, it was getting married. okay, well it started after he had gotten married — ( but when he was nineteen he had been drinking and got into an accident, being charged with impaired driving, dui. ) —he and his wife had a messy divorce. And when he didn't bring his son and daughter to his ex-wife on time on one of their custody switch days, the authorities were called with in seconds. He had been arrested and charged with kidnapping. Two and a half years in jail, released on good behaviour. Maybe it wouldn't have happened if he didn't have a record, or maybe they just listened to the mom more than they ever would with him.
He'd never forget the way his son and daughter had looked when an officer had cuffed his hands behind his back and hauled him away in a car with bars.
And he wouldn't forget the face of the guy who arrested him. Silas had been angry at the world, which made it much more worse for him when he had been arrested. He tried to resist, ending up elbowing the sheriff that arrested him in the face.
The sheriff that arrested him, and unfortunately had gotten an elbow to the eye, was rick grimes. whom he believed he would never see again, despite his younger brother's relationship with the man. It's been three years since he was released. And about four months since the world ended.
