Chapter 1 - Dawn of the Future

27th May 2071

Our world, filled with peace and prosperity, has technologically advanced faster than ever before. After many decades of failures, wars and reconstruction we had finally became a world that united together as one.

Our world became what it is today from decades ago to the mid 2020s when the first Mars colonisation mission had taken place. Unfortunately, the mission was evaded due to the damage the planet had on the astronaut's health. So they tried again with NASA's Orion mission to asteroids and overall Mars. The crew died in an explosion. NASA was hated, they had killed 8 astronauts, in what was supposed to be a revolutionary event for humanity. After multiple riots and political arguments, NASA was gone.

This led to uprisings against the American government, and in other countries. Citizens of the world were now expecting Russia to help them with their space exploration, and, they didn't. These uprisings and arguments led to the beginning of the Second Cold War, between America and Russia, in 2035. Troops from Russia came to America, to send an obvious message; back off, and do it yourself. Most of this war was just Russia sending more soldiers and America still arguing about something that was almost completely pointless. After four years or so, the fighting began to die down.

On a cool, hazed morning in 2039, America suddenly, without warning, decides that Russia should have a nuclear bomb for Christmas. Millions dead. Superpower almost wiped out. Boom World War 3 has begun. It didn't last very long, only a year, as expected. After the war, there were still many major fights around the world. It that time though, a third of the population of the entire Earth, had been lost. I'm actually quite surprised how many survived.

Throughout the last 30 years, the surviving governments decided to declare that there will be no future wars, only peace and prosperity. In that bombshell, a new science organisation was formed, Technological and Scientific Group International, or TSG International for short. Nowadays there is a TSG for every continent; TSG North America, TSG Europe, TSG Asia, you get the idea.

I'm Brian Cooper, a Mars Infinity pilot who has been living on Mars, for 3 years. I was born in the aftermath of the Third World War, when there were still major fights between nations. My father died when I was 2, in a fighter jet battle. My mother said I was going to be just like him, only better. I started studying piloting when I was 16, began flying fighters jets when I was 18, and went to live in space when I was only 21. Now I'm 24, a spacecraft pilot instructor and extremely famous; just kidding, No one really knows me...

Anyway; I haven't seen what has happened on Earth lately but recently I've seen on my super skills UHD holovision, that the Hercules mission to Jupiter, was destroyed, by an extraterrestrial intelligence. And now, the whole world knows that we aren't alone in this universe. Seems like these aliens want our planet, badly. Will this event bring curiosity and knowledge; or fear and disruption?
