"Oh, Mister Sebastian is not be happy, no he isn't," Mey-Rin muttered nervously. She hurried down the corridors of the manner, sweeping, dusting and cleaning everything in sight.
She was working extra hard this afternoon because she'd caused Sebastian strife this morning. First when retrieving plates and silver wear for her master's breakfast she'd tripped and broke most of the china, then she flooded the laundry room with bubbles because she had misread the number of detergent; polished the stairs with shoe shiner; caused her beloved young master to have an miner asthma attack when she was dusting and when she'd offered to help Finnian with the gardening she'd accidently destroyed Ciel's favourite white roses and caused Finny to faint out of shock. Now she felt terrible. Sebastian hadn't said anything; he'd just cleaned everything up after he'd seen to the young lord's health.
Mister Sebastian hates me, he does! Mey-Rin thought. But I'll make everything right!
Mey-Rin continued though the mansion. She added coke to the fireplaces; cleaned the windows; fluffed the pillows on the beds and couches and armchairs and aired out the rooms in the mansion. All in a day's work, Mey-Rin smiled and whipped her hands on her apron.
"I knew I could do the right thing, I did!" she said. "Young Master will be proud."
She proceeded down the third floor corridor too straighten the rooms down that corridor. She was silently humming to herself a happy little tune that she and Finnian made up. She walked up to a door she knew was her beloved young master's study. The door was open a creak and the light from the candle light shone a dim line of light in the otherwise dark hallway. Mey-Rin placed the broom against the wall and was about to knock on the door when she heard Sebastian speak.
"How are you feeling, my young lord?" he asked.
Mey-Rin knew she should just walk away but she wanted to apologise to Master Ciel. So she stayed where she was.
"I'm fine. It was only a mild attack, you needn't worry," Ciel sounded bored and sour as usual.
"Sorry, as your butler it is my duty to worry about you. Humans are so very fragile..." Sebastian muttered.
Mey-Rin heard Ciel scoff and the sound of tea cup being placed on its saucer. Mey-Rin peeked into the room. Ciel was seated at his desk reading some papers, Sebastian was standing by his side facing him.
"Will you be wishing me to serve your dinner in here or in the dining room, sir?"
"Neither, I don't have much of an appetite after today," Ciel said.
A concerned frown clouded Sebastian's face. "Of course. I shall leave you to your work then."
The butler in black turned away from his master and began to make his leave, Mey-Rin watched the young master reach out and catch the tail of his coat. The butler stopped and turned to his lord with a small charming smile.
"Yes... my lord?" he asked.
Ciel didn't say anything. He released the tailcoat and curled his finger signalling for the butler to come. Sebastian obeyed. Mey-Rin watch the young master pull Sebastian's tie, forcing him down to his level. Mey-Rin's nose bled a little as she watched the scene unfolding before her own eyes. Ciel's face was inches away from Sebastian's. Mey-Rin stuffed a gasp when she saw the young master kiss the butler...
Argh! I'm finally finished this! Chapter one is complete! Tell me what you thought! And if you want a chapter Two!
